Ebay "Gadgets" not covered by travel insurance

This question still stands. Policy is the contract, website etc is irrelevant unless the Policy specifically refers to the website.
Although if 'loss' is not covered then the policy is useless anyway, why would one bother investigating further, just use somebody more reputable.The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
Not rubbish....
I just spoke with them, the representative told me categorically that Ebay gadgets would not be covered by travel insurance.
I meant it's a rubbish clause, and I don't know how they can justify at and expect to gain/keep customers.
They're not excluding all 2nd hand items, so why would they specifically try and exclude items bought at auction online?
If it is on the web page and not in print, then its validity must be questionable; I don't see how a policy can have a clause which refers to information on a web site which is not date secured and subject to scrutiny.
As some others have said, it's what's in the policy that counts, and if nothing else, this thread serves as a reminder to read the small print.0
