Got a parking ticket on Wednesday outside my flat even though I have permit

Have lived there for three years. Got a permit when I moved in. Never had any problems. Well annoyed. Will be appealing.

Have taken a photo of the permit in the windscreen and printed off to send them. Will it make a difference?

Read the NEWBIES sticky thread. And search this forum for permit - this is well-covered.

You don't say who ticketed you, can you supply that please?

Sorry. It was UKCPS in Leeds (I live in Wakefield). Ticket was issued at 11.10pm. I think someone that lives in the flats checks every night as I see tickets handed on cars all the time. They must be making a load of commission.

So self-ticketing then, on behalf of UKCPS. All standard rubbish and easily won on appeal. It's the same as pretty much all the other cases and is covered in the NEWBIES sticky thread (that's why it's at the top pleading with newbies to 'read this first!'). So read up on the advice and 'How to win at POPLA' while you await their sad little NTK letter.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the help. Will sit tight until the NTK letter arrives.

Have got another ticket this morning. Have checked some of the other cars in the car park and it looks like they have a different coloured permit to the one I've got (which I've had for at least a year). Not the first time they've changed the permit but they sent me the new one last time.

Seems a bit harsh to change the permit, not let me know and then ticket me.

They change the permit so they can scam easier, it's a deliberate ploy. The ukcps office manager Peter Haswell who is reading this would confirm this if he had any balls to come here openly. So wait for your notice to keeper to arrive in 29-56 days and come back here on the appeals process

Thanks. Just wonder why I didn't get a new permit. Had no problems last time.

Please check your rental/lease agreements and if possible ask your landlord about the parking.
Then if your in the clear tell UKCPS where they can go with their permits.
why are you displaying a permit to give yourself permission to do something?

If all the above goes through OK, you have a few options:

Make yourself really POPLA with UKCPS and POPLA
dont bother displaying a permit as its not required, at that rate you should be able to pick up one ticket per day/night, generating a new fake parking charge notice each time, challenge each one of these separately then again at POPLA you could easily submit plenty of appeals at POPLA this way

Tell UKCPS and the mamangement company go and sod off and stop trespassing on your property, keep a log of the time you spend in removing any charge notices and keep the receipts form any items you buy ( rubber gloves, cleaning fluids etc) to dispose of the tickets and then charge them.

It's not just harsh, it means they have not established a contract for you to use the NEW permit then (if they never sent it to you). Gives you more ammo for your POPLA appeal in the standard paragraph about 'no contract with driver' which is often part of the 'unclear signage' point.

I would await both first letters - NTK or whatever they call them - and do both appeals at once (as long as the first letters arrive within a week of each other).
