Not sure if this is of any help but I've just had a glance at O2's Q1 2014 figures and there is an interesting little titbit where they reveal that year on year operating costs have dropped 5.1%
Yet weren't these 2.7% rises blamed on increasing costs?

That's quite interesting to hear, thanks. What a load of dunderheids!0

I'd do anything to be able to get out of that contract right now. £285 way too much for me to part with though unfortunately.0

A wee update. Mediation will take place on either the 10th, 11th or 12th of June. What a load of dunderheids!0

Do you have a firm date yet??0 -
Hi RC,
No so I'll just wait over the next 3 days and see. I had O2 contact me asking me to contact the mediation service, but I told them to do themselves as I'm not paid to do their work for them. Still nothing updated on the MCOL site with regards my claim, still says Defence. That may be normal, but I'm sure they would change the status to mediation. I'm having that checked.
Also, O2 haven't submitted a new defence to my re-jigged PoC.What a load of dunderheids!0 -
Just had a "formal" response from the Ombudsman after waiting around and having to chase them.
Even though O2 have failed to provide an evidence of the numerous online chats and phone calls the stance the Ombudsman are taking is, and I quote...
"All contracts are subject to change; this is what you agreed to when you took out the contract"
...and...
"It is likely that the reason the advisor did not tell you about the impending price increase is because they did not know, even if they did not tell you and they did know, the company acted within its terms and conditions"
So does that mean O2 can make any changes they wish and the ombudsman will do !!!!!! all about it??
While I didn't expect much, am I wrong to have expected a little more than this?0 -
I've sent a LBA to O2 intending to begin proceedings if they don't pay me the £910 I paid in ETFs and additional line rental following my rejection of the increases. The letter was addressed to the legal department at their head office and signed for yesterday.
This morning I receive an SMS saying "Thanks for contacting O2 Complaint Review Service. We will be in touch within 7 working days"
I strongly suspect I'm going to get the same humorous (and pointless) LBA response that ChilliP2012 got0 -
You more than likely will. If you want a contact for their legal department, then send me a PM and I'll give you the details.
On another note, still waiting for mediation to contact meWhat a load of dunderheids!0 -
