I take it this is a dining room you're referring to? It's just that you wrote 'dinning room ' , so I just thought I'd clarify. I know there's a trend for rooms being called mud rooms, rumpus rooms etc....so I'm not sure if a dinning room is somewhere you go to let off steam by screaming or something?
Back to your question, if you have a kitchen large enough to eat and entertain in, then losing a dining room won't hurt too much, but if it means you'll have to squeeze a dining table in your lounge, or eat off trays on your lap, I would keep the dining room. Also, having the option of opening the shutters to open up the lounge is a selling point. Many people these days seek out large living areas in which to entertain and to enjoy the sense of space.0 -
