Not much, I'm sure 3 ladies would be fine in your garden as long as they have somewhere safe and dry to sleep and a nesting area/box for layingIf you get some ex-batts they'll think they're in heaven no matter how small the garden!

Have just (last night) taken on another 4 rescues, from a FR farm this time (although not very FR by the look of them) - from Scarborough, so they've had a long way to travel, poor things!
The existing flock haven't taken too kindly to the newcomers - so the new ones are still on straw in an old dog kennel for tonight... hopefully that won't go on for too long!0 -
The big ginger tom who lives in my stick box and catches mice under my shed, has decided the netting over the run makes a good cat hammock. But it's very flimsy and his fat backside is putting too much strain on it. Has anybody a magic method of keeping a cat off a roof ? - short of murder ?

Hmm, tricky. How's he getting up there? Is he climbing up via the compost bin? If he's using things to climb up, I'd try moving them if possible. The only other way to stop him that I can think of, is to run some more chicken wire at the top of the fencing, but angle it outwards and only attach it on the bottom of the wire, so the top is floppy.
Nice looking girls you've got there.
We've finally completed the fencing up the top field and moved our girls up there yesterday. When hubby went to lock them up, he discovered that all the new girls and our silkie x had moved into the big girls coop and the big girls were milling around outside wondering what was going on! Eventually, the big girls went in too, so it looks like they're all going to be sharing the bigger coop from now on.0 -
