Hey hon
No, Littley is back tomorrow too so have had another lovely day with her. I'm going to miss her tomorrow and I'll be you'll miss DS too.
I gave in and let my mum buy Littley a bed and that's coming tomorrow afternoon. Her room is 191cm wide and I'm hoping to fit the bed into that space. The bed's 190cm long so it's going to be a tight squeeze, fingers crossed hey!?
Have a good eveningxx

Well, getting a bed into that space was nothing short of a miracle but somehow I did it!! My house was built in the 1930s and I believe they invented the spirit level sometime after then as nothing in my house is straight! This really annoys me most of the time but today it was handy as Littley's walls had a tiny spot in them where I was able to slide, thump, cry and bash that bl**dy bed into her room - without having to remove the skirting board either! It is now firmly wedged in there so if she wants a new bed at any point EVER it's a big no!
Woke up this morning feeling completely poo. Littley's been up and down since NYE and I think I've just got whatever she's had. I've not slept right for a few nights, in fact didn't sleep at all Friday, and I think now she's at school my body's just gone "you can be ill now". Great hey?
Operation Wetsuit
Much to Littley's disgust we walked to school today and although it didn't make me feel that great I know I had to do it to get back into the walking routine.
Australia
Over the weekend I booked the car that will pick us up from the airport and take us to our hotel. I've now got all our transport booked as well as some trips. I have a folder to put all the confirmations and receipts and it's now starting to build up nicely. This makes me very happy.
I also got paid for some work on Monday so that went across into savings and so I have already passed my £100 target for this month. I kind of knew I would but the fact I now have is brilliant. I've had a text from the driving job and that restarts on Friday so that will go in the extra earnings pot.
Right, I have just under 2 hours to get stuff done and there's a lot to do so I'm going to go now and have a nap instead! Hopefully that'll shift some of this urgh!
Have a great day everyonexx

Morning hon
Well, I'm currently sitting at the garage having my car MOT'd and have just been informed that the light that has ALWAYS been on my car actually means there is a fault with the airbags therefore failing my MOT. This has really annoyed me as 1) it was on the car when I bought it and 2) I'm lucky I've not had an accident as the airbags wouldn't have worked, putting Littley at risk.
Fortunately the garage is where I bought the car and they know me here so they know when I say these things I mean it and not trying to pull a fast one. The other bonus is that it should hopefully be under the warranty. The warranty is for a year & when I bought the car I was told it also had a year's MOT on it. This proved incorrect as the MOT runs out this month and I got it last March. While that annoyed me to start with I'm now very thankful as I may have been out of warranty when I had my test.
Another bonus is that I've been sat here since 0945 and am now going to be another hour or so. Whilst this would annoy most people I've actually sat here and got my work up to date. Something I wouldn't have done if I was at home as I still feel like poo.
As you can see one of my mind changes this year is to find the silver lining in everything!
Will update monies later when I get home as I forgot my usb with all my info on. This is a good thing though as I usually update that first and get sucked into money moving & Aussie planning & lose the will to work lol. I may come here every day
Have a great dayxx

The garage mechanics might get the wrong idea;).
It is good that you were prepared to use the time productively though. You are getting January off to a good start!!Training Loan - £1300.00/£1,500 (13%), Halifax CC 300.00/£925.00 (31%), OS Weight loss 7.0lb/24lb (29%), Extra inc Nov £220, Dec £532.00, Jan Ex Inc target £200.00. Morning all
Well after spending 4.5 hours at the garage I now know how long my laptop lasts on 92% battery!! About 4hrs and 20mins.
So, turns out there was nothing wrong whatsoever with my car which is a relief. There was a historic fault and for some reason the light was on. In layman terms I think this means the previous engineer forgot to turn the warning light off. It was all under warranty anyway so I didn't have to pay a thing.
Whilst at the garage I did get all my work up to date and spent some time speaking with 3 family members in Oz getting some more information sorted. I was quite happy to hear that one set of cousins have acquired a holiday home for a week in an area they knew we wanted to go and so we're going there. It's quite a big place in an expensive area but they have said no to me contributing to rental costs but just fill the car up with fuel for the trip. Lovely or what? They have also said that one of the places I really wanted to go is about 150miles away but that they'll bring us home that way so that we can go there too. It's really lovely off them and a stark reminder that I'm not as organised as I thought - I hadn't budgeted the costs for the trips into my plans d'oh. It's only another £60 which isn't too much but it means my savings target has gone up slightly.
I also found out I don't have to pay accommodation on a trip up North with another set of cousins and that when I go camping with yet another set we're only going for 2 nights so that's more money saved. This will be the best holiday ever and we will do everything we want to do but it will be an MSE holiday! My cousin has even sent us 25% off vouchers to use for one of the trips I need to book so it's not just me!!
Anyway, I'm starting to feel tired again as still not quite back to normal so am going to get my backside up and go do the shop audit then come back & do some work. I may even try and get my head down for a bit later but I'm not sure if I'll have time.
Have a great day everyonexx

Well that's frustrating!!
Just had a call from the bank to say I'm behind on my mortgage payments, something that I'm not. In fact I'm theoretically up by £250 towards this month's.
Turns out a payment I made was slightly late so they allocated it to the next payment instead and put that month's payment in as an overpayment. !!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!? So this poor woman's just rung me to say you owe us one month + £50 for another month and I'm like heck no.
Eventually worked it out and although they can't reallocate the money they can put it in the notes. Whatever good that will do.
Lesson learnt. If a payment is slightly late due to clients paying me late ring up and check where it's been allocated. If it's allocated incorrectly ring when paying next month and have it reallocated. I've now got to find an extra £250 as I can't have that as extra for this month as I'd budgeted.
Yeah, thanks Mr Banker.CC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

Their systems seem very inflexible! Would it be worth speaking to a supervisor, explaining the budgeting dilemma? I am glad the car got sorted though and you did not have to pay anything.
We have a full warranty cover on our car too, but they try and wiggle out of anything that needs doing, and each time DH has to challenge them and they back down eventually, it is such a faff!
