I am going to try T-Mobile complaints department and see how I get on. I have heard from a few vodaphone customers that they have been able to get this past the 12 months!0

I have the same problem with an Iphone 5 on 02 network purchased from phones 4u. They have point blank refused to consider a free repair after 13 months. Following NFH's extremely informative and helpful posts on this subject I have written a letter to phones 4u and 02 quoting the relevant supply of services law.
Will see how I get on !0 -

The buck stops with Phones4u as the supplier of the phoneIt's not just about the money0 -
Not sure about 02 not being liable as this legislation is relating to provision of a service where a handset is provided. 02 are the service provider. Spoke to "which" legal services who pointed me in this direction.0

The network is not the issue it's the phone, as the phone is neither sold nor manufactured by O2 they cannot be held liable
It would have been far easier had you got the whole package direct from O2It's not just about the money0 -
It's worth clarifying that p4u don't resell a 'package' supplied by O2.
They sell O2 contract and sell/supply their own phone. Hence, O2 have nothing to do with the phone.0 -

Yes there's quite a few that manage to get them repaired a month or two past the deadline ..... seems to be a bit of luck involved as to how you get on
Reading the Vodafone forum it's hit and miss. The stores (well most!) have had the message filter through about the 24 month warranty but not the phone based departments.2013 wins: Persil Bunny0 -
Hi just an update on this thread. Following advice from Which consumer lawyer (i was member of Which). I issued County Court proceedings against Phones4u. After dragging it out for as long as they possibly could, they paid me a week before we were due to go to Court.
I am posting this as it may help anybody else having the same sort of problem. I was helped by other forum members with useful advice.0
