What the hell is a Jug?

We have a Pug X and anyone that thinks crossing two breeds to remove health problems needs a reality check. We have had no end of vets visits and scares due to breathing problems.

I have a full Pug pup.

I love him dearly however they are total dynamos as puppies. They dont get laid back n chilled untill they are quite a bit older.

ThunderPug is now 7mths and to keep him active and stimulated we go to agility, puppy swimming class, obedience lessons. do one community dog walk and pug meet on alternate weekends as well as a puggy playdate with his puppy friend.

So, just in case you think all pugs are chilled and laid back you may just get one like mine :D

We have a cross between a pug and a king Charles cavalier, we rehomed him early last year. He is lovely - affectionate, GREAT with kids, playful, funny and mischievous (and ridiculously annoying sometimes!). His 'designer dog name' is a pugalier. We just call him Jake! We have been lucky thus far, no health problems due to his breeding, he was very poorly last November but that was his own doing....! We adore him, even when he nicks the pants out the washing. See pics in this thread......

  • Please think of adopting rather than buying designer. They have pedigrees at local shelters!
  • can you also think of what dog will fit in your lifestyle ?

I have a beagle, love him to bits (even if he does chew my knickers along with other things) BUT he needs a couple of hours walking every night regardless of what the weather is doing.

We have a Patterdale X Yorkie. Worth thinking about those as X breeds? Got her at about 5 months old, she is now 10 months. She is great with my 3yo niece and 1yo nephew. She is only about 6kg now and unlikely to get any bigger.

We found ours on Pets4Homes, quite lucky as the previous owner had bred from her mum and so still had the mum and we could see them together. She had a new baby at the same time and just couldn't cope with both a newborn and a puppy.
