Carlsberg Lager is only £4.99 for 12 440ml cans in Somerfield in England and Wales. In Scotland, they have the same offer, only for Tennent’s Lager.

Sainsburys did have 12 bottles of Brahma for £4.99 but i think thats finished! But 20 becks for £7.49 is ok!

Brahma is/was my favourite lager, I noticed it wasn't nearly so nice ast time too. It used to have a honey flavour to it, now it just tastes like everything else

Ashiti (sp) Japenese lager is quite nice.

It is definitely bottled in Newport , i will try to find out if it is actually brewed there.

Wiki Says;

Beck's has for many years also been brewed under license in Namibia, which prior to World War I was a German colony. It is also today brewed in Bulgaria, Australia, Ukraine, Serbia, Montenegro, China, Nigeria, Romania and Turkey.

The packaging for the Becks that is sold in the UK unambiguously says 'Imported From Germany'. It is brewed in Bremen, Germany.

I think the best current deal for Stella is the 2 for £8 offer in Tesco on 10 x 250ml bottles. Obviously this works out at £1.60 a litre, so that while you have to put up with the silly little bottles, it is actually cheaper than buying 20 x 284ml bottles for £10 in the same store. Mind you, why you would want to buy fake UK brewed Stella, when you can get genuine imported Becks cheaper would be a mystery to me.

I recently got loads of Dos Equis (Mexico) from HomeBargains for 39p for a 330ml bottle, cheapest I've seen this elsewhere is 99p.
Ok it was short dated but if you drink it quick, it shouldn't be a problem.
Worth a look in there 'cos sometimes they have other unique offers.
