For the "anything goes" stuff, normally Asda or Tesco - they have branded beer and lager for 50p a can or less most of the time. They tend to swap around a bit - Boddingtons/John Smiths/Tetleys beer, Carlsberg/Fosters/Carling lager.
And don't forget a couple of bottles of sweet sherry for the ladies...0 -

I only buy it when its on deal like sainsburys/morrisons £5 or 12 a couple of months ago. If you get a voucher code for tescos or asda they usually have a deal on corona (2 x4 for £7 or 2 x6 for £9), my last order worked out at just under £13 a case (24), hard to beat if you like the lager.
Whats bravara like, how can brahama be called a brazillian lager when its brewed over hereNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20 -

When i first tried brahma which was last year it tasted nice but ive had a few packs this year and it seems to taste different, could be me i guess,
i also wanst aware it was brewed in the uk, i thought it was imported
Couldnt agree more !!! I was buying this stuff like it was going out of fashion last summer from Netto on a special deal. It was obviously the imported stuff as it was lovely (and that comes from a bitter/stout drinker that doesnt drink a lot of lager).
Bought some from Tesco on a deal last week (ironically still more expensive than the genuine import I had had the year before) and it must have been UK brewed as it definitely didnt taste as nice !
Will check the packaging next time !0 -
@backbiter
I agree with you on the ale bit. Lager is full of chemicals = hangover. People may scoff but try homebrew bitter (not lager) - it is amazing; cider is cool too (with ice). Top tips:
- Clean everything and rinse it well
- Use finings
- Use CO2 (like the old sodastream bottles) to keep it - it will last 6-8 months
- Get loads of beer nibbles in as you are about to become popular
