  • It is possible to do similar with Green Flag:

    £27 Green Flag policy (http://www.greenflag.com/)
    - £20 Quidco cashback (http://www.quidco.com/green-flag/)
    = £7 a year breakdown cover! :D

I took out a policy a couple of weeks ago and the £20 is now in my Quidco account scheduled to be paid next month.

I joined through quidco and it only seemed to track when the RAC account went "live".

A few days later when I checked, the RAC tracked fine. Afew days later again, and I can see that it's now registered three times in quidco, giving me £63!

Don't know what to do about this!

I should declare it ti Quidco. I don't wnt to give RAC an excuse to not pay.

I had that when I asked for about 6 different quotes on the Gym Loophole, I just left it and it sorted itself out by the time I was paid, without me needing to say anything
Thanks to all who post constructively.

If you currently (or can open) a joint account with Lloyds TSB you can save a packet on Breakdown recovery, Mobile phone insurance, world wide travel insurance and Sentinel card protection.

You need to ugrade your current account to one of their added value accounts ranging from £7-£15 /month for 2 people.

    You then receive -

    1. Mobile phone insurance for both people on the joint account
    2. Breakdown cover with AA ranging from basic to top cover
    3. Worldwide travel insurance for all the family
    4. Sentinel credit card insurance
    5. Interest free overdraft

When my wife combined what we were each paying for the above services throughout the year £400+, we have saved a couple of hundred pounds per year.

I would stress though that maximum savings are made when you apply this to a joint account though money can still be saved if you only have an individual account.
  • If you join RAC, watch out for renewal as got mine yesterday and 40% more then last year!

You have to sign up with direct debit with auto renewal so may catch you out!

  • I have gone for this and just checked my new
    Quidco
Account and the £21 worth of earnings is displayed.
One question though - apparently, according to
    Quidco
    Terms & Conditions, a dormant
    Quidco
Account will be closed and any money owing will not be paid. Surely, any money owing would have been paid at the end of the month - a month during which the account had not been dormant(?)

Well... I got both my quidco and Nectar points... £20 have tracked in Quidco, and 2000 nectar pionts have been credited :)
So that's £30 off the AA price (which as it's online is discounted... yay!)

After reading this forum I have joined Quidco and am going to use the £20 of AA membership ad also my nectar code.

For anyone who has used this were they both credited and on the AA form I could not see where to put in my start date as my own cover has not expired yet.

I hope I am not being stupid , but this seems such a good offer as I need home start and at the same price as my existing policy the £20 (-£5) quidco and necter points will make it much cheaper
