  • I've been on holiday with OTB went ao in sharm el sheik had a brill time no.problems at all but be aware the website price is not the price U pay!!! On booking online I got a phone call saying the prices had changed etc and it was a few hundred more. After coming off the phone and looking online again I knew I couldn't get cheaper to the hotel I wanted so did book and had a great time. However for this years Hol OTB looked cheaper again then I got the same call and price shot up!! I was expecting this after last time so had done my research and knew I could get it cheaper than the new price elsewhere. I did tell them hoping they'd honour the price but they didnt so I booked elsewhere. I had no problems on going with them.last time but ul find other people have. Good luck

If you want the protection offered by the package travel regulations book a true package holiday with a tour operator. If you don't then use OTB and 118travel to find a flight+accomm combination and then do a thorough search for that combination.

I used on the beach to book a hotel last year, bought the flights and transfers separately, had absolutely no problems at all.

This year Im using travel republic as their prices are slightly cheaper than OTB.

Why use a middle man to book separate components, why not book them separately yourself, surely that's the cheapest way.

hi, i have had 4 holidays abroad in the last 16 months with on the beach, not one single problem yet. i have also got 3 holidays booked for this year with them, 1 paid up and the other 2 almost paid for, no problems so far..

i do agree with stephb though, it would be cheaper to do it D.I.Y.. but in my case(not suitcase)i am relatively a novice at booking holidays, up until 16 months ago, i had not had a holiday for 25 yrs..
Corduroy pillows are making headlines! Back home in London now after 27years wait! Duvet know it's Christmas, not original, it's a cover.

Not always cheaper to book DIY , have found both Travel Republic , On The Beach and Thomas Cook at least 20% cheaper over last 5 holidays. You have the security if you book both flights and acc with one company of being covered by Atol if anything happens like the ash cloud etc.Having used OTB twice had no problems at all. It's also well worth checking what price a travel agent can do holiday for as we got a holiday for my dad both price matched and a further 10% agent discount deducted.:)

My ATOL certificate says ‘Flight-Plus’ on it. What does this mean?

A Flight-Plus holiday is one where you have booked your flights and accommodation with the same travel company, but not as a package holiday. For instance, you request your travel agent to book flights and a hotel for you at the same time or within a day of each other..
You still have the same ATOL protection if the travel company you booked with fails, and in some cases you may be able to continue with your travel arrangements. If one of the suppliers they have used fails, the travel company must make alternative arrangements for you.

I used them a few years ago with no problems :)

I booked on the same flights that were being advertised on in the beach but direct with the airline, saved me about 40 quid, booked the hotel and transfers through otb but travel republic seem to be a good bit cheaper for the hotels so am going with them this year.

Read some reviews of On the Beach then decide, but if you book with then 'buyer beware'.
    I wouldn't use them.
