You don't get your insurer to pay for puncture repairs!

If I disclose it to current insurer, what reaction would you anticipate:

    - higher renewal premium?
    - higher renewal premium + demand for top-up of this year's premium?
    - cancellation?

The worst case would be retrospective premium increase plus an admin fee for a mid term change.

You can see what your 2 glass claims do to your premiums (if anything) by doing dummy quotes on line with and without them in your history.

You dont need to work in insurance to know what a loss is or an incident.

In theory if a yound lad kicks a football at your car and leaves a mark/dent or breaks a mirror then its an incident. It should be declared. Whether you claim or polish it out or replace it from your own pocket.

If your mad then you report every little incident. But your contract/terms with the insurer probably says you should. ( a member posted before xmas where they couldnt get insurane for so many claims ).
Tiny mark/dink by a shopping trolley or car door, Stonechip on the bonnet and screen. etc.

They claimed/informed the insurance so many times in a year they no longer wanted to insure them.

I'm not disputing that glass claims need to be declared. I am disputing that it's obvious to the average bloke who doesn't spend a lot of time thinking about insurance matters. Either that or I'm even dimmer than I thought. :(

Your advice has been very much appreciated.

Are dummy quotes best done with false name, address, dob, to avoid leaving a footprint of false information?

    - just realised the contradiction inherent in that question, but I hope you get what I meant...

Although you maybe using false name and address etc. You maybe using the same IP address and computer ID.

So leaving more of a trail than you think.

Well after all that agonising I came clean with Admiral, who told me that they don't rate on glass claims so no extra to pay...
