Weekly Oyster Card (£35.60) - Can I get a refund?

It starts, well NOW, the 18th of this month. I have not used it, and will not longer need it. I have the receipt still, is it possible to get a refund?

You might be able to get a refund less a £10 admin fee as long as it hasn't been used

for details - if it works

You mean a 7 day Travelcard (loaded onto an Oyster card)?

    A 7 day Travelcard costs £31.40 for Zones 1-2, or £36.80 for Zones 1-3.
I am not sure where £35.60 comes from.

I believe you can get a refund of the Travelcard, less a £10 admin fee, but as you are returning it within the validity of the ticket, I would also expect them to take off the cost of one days use (£8.90) though if they are confident it has not been used, they may waive that, possibly. Can you take it back to the station you bought it from (without using it!)?

I have £35.60 on a receipt in front of me? I've paid £35.60 everytime I have used it! :P

    Zone 1-3 ADULT :)

They done the refund, so I'll get £25.60, back onto my card, up to 10 days :)

It's the current fare - you are looking at the fares that start tomorrow
  • I should check again with them if I were you. I understand the admin fee has been revised down to £5 recently. They even waive it given the error...

    Have a look at http:// www . tfl . gov . uk / tickets/14631.aspx

(Remove spaces - I cannot post links as a noob) this explains the fee.

    All the best,

    Mick
  • I asked my job centre advisor for a job centre plus oyster and he was like you have to be signing on for 3 months,I asked what about interview clothes (a suit), 6 months ,I asked about getting a license S.I.A for security but the government cut that now apparently also help for driving license don't exist anymore,so basically theres nothing they can do apart from look for any reason to sanction your claim.
