Never made sausages myself, but is one of my funniest memories as a child - watching them do it on The Generation Game!!!

I've had a look at the website, thank you. You say the Lincolnshire seasoning mix is good, have you tried any others that weren't as nice?

    Hi,

We bought the Old English mix too, but the Lincolnshire is so nice, we haven't got round to testing that yet. We use less than the recommended "dosage", but I would suggest you experiment.

Their casings are good too (we used the dried artificial "devro" variety) which are made from collagen, still animal derived, but not quite so obvious as intestines!

    Hope that helps,

    Regards,

I just spotted this great mincer on Tchibo - it comes with 2 mincing discs, 2 sausage tubes, 3 discs to grate vegetables, chocolate and nuts and a biscuit attachment for 4 shapes
It's £34.90 and looks really good value.

You can get the skins and other stuff for the sausages from www.sausagemaking.org and the best bit of all - you'll know what goes into them

    Mmmmm...chocolate sausages. :D

Anyone used this before? I've fancied a mincer for a while but never got round to getting one. I hate finding 'bits' in the sausages I buy. (Even the supposedly best quality ones).

We've got an older thread on making sausages containing hints and recipes so I'll merge the two together.

Gimme a minute or two to catch up with myself :)

Edit: For those of you new to the boards older posts are listed first in this new thread so you'll need to start from the beginning to catch up :)

    Hiya :)

We have an older thread on sausages which I've just merged your question with, and am sure will prove helpful. Since posts are listed in date order you'll need to read from the beginning to catch up :)
