Parking eye fine.

Hello,

I have been reading all the advice on this website and I am not sure what I should do or should not be doing. Up till now I have ignored such letters, but have received another letter from PE informing me that I have 14 days to pay £85. If i do not pay then further action will take place through either solicitors or court proceedings. They tell me I can appeal this.

Please help, am starting to worry.

Thanking you in advance.

PE dont send out fines, not allowed to, its a parking charge invoice

now have a read through this https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822

if you can appeal it, send them a soft appeal
    Dear Parking Eye,

As the registered keeper of (reg) I'm in receipt of your parking invoice xxxxxx dated xxxxxx. I wish to invoke your appeals process as all liability to you company is denied on the following:

    1) this charge is not a genuine pre-estimate of loss
    2) your signage does not comply with the BPA Code of Practice
    3) you do not have the authority or permission to issue invoices at this location

These points and others will be raised with Popla should you not accept this appeal, and you will be expected to provide a full breakdown of of your alleged loss, and your full unredacted contract with the landowner.

If you do reject the challenge and insist upon taking the matter further I must inform you that I may claim my expenses from you. The expenses I may claim are not exhaustive but may include the cost of stamps, envelopes, travel expenses, legal fees, etc. By continuing to pursue me you agree to pay these costs when I prevail.

Please issue your cancellation within 35 days of this letter or supply a popla code to appeal to them.

    Faithfully

Was your letter a PCN though? Or a Letter before Claim? What letter do you mean and when was the parking event?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Hello coupon,

Not sure what you mean by PCN, there is no subject title on this letter, it does not state it is a letter before claim either. More of a requirement of payment letter.

The start of the letter mentions schedule 4 of the POFA......

It ends saying, Now 29 days have passed I have to pay £85, it was reduced to £50 if I paid ASAP. (I did not pay.) if I do not pay this amount within 14 days, solicitors or court proceedings will be involved.

Date of event: 4th December 2013.

    Hope this makes more sense?

    Thank you for your post.

it would seem to be a NTK as over 28 days have elapsed, meaning they think they issued a windscreen ticket to driver and this is an NTK to keeper

either way , send an appeal as NTK like the one I posted , which they will reject and give you a popla code by return ;)

The letter does state, Outstanding Parking Charge. I think this is a PCN....

    What is a NTK?.....

What do I do with the popla code when they send this?

Sorry for the questions, thanks again for your advice.

Please read the thread linked in post #2, and I mean every post in the thread
