  • Donnyj,

    Did you speak with them, what was the outcome?
  • A similar thing happened to me back in 2011.

    I had medical treatment and at the time the English receptionist explained as I was working in the local area I didn't need to pay anything.

    A couple of months after my trip I got an email from Eventus Plus explaining I owed around £650. I ignored them dismissing it as a scam.

    I found out about six months ago Eventus Plus took out a County Court Judgement against me in 2014 against an old address. It didn't show up my Experian or Clear Score report only showing in the Noddle report.

    Through the small claims court the CCJ has been set aside so I can file a defense.

    I was hoping to get some help in the form of witness statements from others who have had a similar experience, to support my case. It's essentially what's been posted here but with a few conditions:

    Contain the full name and address of the witness and explain their involvement with the case;
    Make clear whether the witness knows a statement to be true or just believes it to be true;
    Be clearly typed, or written – preferably on only one side of the paper. Pages should be paginated and fastened together;
    Be divided up into numbered paragraphs;
    Set out the facts in a logical - probably chronological - order;
    Refer to and clearly identify any exhibits attached to the witness statement;
    Contain a statement of truth;

    Be signed by the witness.

    I'll post full details of the case once it's over.
