This is an archive of posts which were originally on the 'POPLA Decisions' sticky thread - which we wish to keep ONLY for 'Decisions'. Here is the sticky thread:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4488337
As that thread started in March 2013 don't read from the first pages as they are OLD and include some people who actually (perish the thought!) LOST at POPLA with weaker appeals at first!
If you want to see current POPLA decisions (100% wins for us from Easter onwards through 2013!) read from the latest post back, on that sticky.

Hi,
Got slapped with a parking charge on the windscreen because wasn't parked in 'marked bays'? Yes it wasn't marked bays but I was running late for my lecture and didn't notice that since there were like 10-15 other cars parked there too (all of them had the same penalty charge on their windscreens too). It wasn't blocking any access/path etc just some pretty reasonable space with no bay markings.
About 30 days later, receive a notice to keeper..some forums say ignore some say wait for NTK to arrive. Seems they have complied with Schedule 4 of Freedom act 2012..WHAT TO DO NOW
Help Appreciated0 -

A quick question.
Just because PE have photographed a car entering the car park, and the same car leaving at a later time, how can they prove you were parked during that period? What if you claimed you were dropping someone off and then picking them up again later? Just a thought....0 -

Why, oh why do the assessors bother chuntering on describing what people said about this and that???
Instead, their write up of the appeal merely needs to say....
GPEOL, appeal allowed.0 -
Given what they charge to use the railway I think the parking should be free if you buy a ticket to get up there!! Unlimited!
What a nice day out spoilt by not only having an accident but the lunacy of parking charges !The most wasted day is one in which we have not laughed.0 -
