  • After that they're going to "manipulate" my leg to see what level of movement I had left. This is going to leave me black, blue, in pain and possibly on crutches for a bit.:o

 that doesn't sound like much fun :(

Best of luck for tomorrow Thistle

  • 82p Tilly Tidy today!

Also got paid my Team earnings too which is £200 more than my bill standing order so that's a month's worth of CC payments right there!!!

Had the call I was dreading and we've settled at a rental of £65 (kitchen charge inclusive!)and backdated, which is more than they promised but way less than the £79 they charged, so all I've got to do now is convince my manager that it's a good deal.

  • Today was hip operation day.

Got up at 0545 as had to get to hospital for 0700.
Spent £2 for 2 hours on car park - OH was going to sit with me for a while until I went down to theatre but was told this was not possible so he was back in the car by 0710 so that was £2 wasted!!

Waited for ages, sat in a waiting room in my bathrobe (with a wooly underneath) and a lime green blanket over my legs (hardly a picture of sartorial class!!!!).

Went down to theatre about 1030 and was back on the ward by 1115. Apparently it took longer to prep me for surgery than the actual procedure. It all went well. Released from hospital at 1515 and back home and in front of the fire with a nice cup of tea and a slice of Christmas cake by 1600.

I was feeling a bit groggy and had a few waves of nausea before but I'm OK now, although I'm going to have to crack open the pain relief drugs, as it's beginning to throb viciously. Was warned this would happen but that it would die down. Need to take the drugs now so I can take some more at bedtime.

Glad it's over though, and I'm looking forward to a few days of doing nothing - OH's directive.

Off to get the drugs - back in a bit!

Hope you're soon on the mend, sounds like it's gone well :T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
