Hi Thistle, dinner sounded lovely :). Do you buy the pork with the bone/without? I quite fancy trying that.

Glad to hear the boiler is working, even if it may or be permanently sorted.

What are you up to over the long weekends.

    'Nosy' Mrs Tilly x x

    Hi Nosy!!! Ha ha

This joint was a rolled leg so no bone. Also, next time, before serving, I'll decant the "sauce" and reduce it down a bit so it's thicker and stickier. Was good though!

Long weekend is Month end so I'll have my head in the Team Results! Taking a few hours off on Sunday to ring the bells at Blackburn Cathedral! Rest of the time it'll be full on work!!

    Are you planning anything nice?

    Morning all,

Work day this morning - it's month end. Gosh this comes round quickly!
Then ringing the bells at the cathedral from midday to 4pm and then on to my friend's church for an evening of Bingo and food. It's his church's centenary celebrations so it should be a hoot!

I rejoined SW yesterday and was pleased to see that I'm still 10lb lighter than when I joined in January. I've joined a Saturday morning group which should mean I get there every week and as it's a 9am group, it'll not use up the entire day. Really going for it this time - sick of feeling bloated and unwell.

    That's all for now!

    Morning all,

It looks like it's going to be a lovely day in Lancashire today. It's 07:31 and already the sky is clear and the sun is shining.

I'm a little cross with my self today as if I'd only pulled my finger out on Saturday and finished my month end reports, I could have been going on a Bellringing trip with OH to North Lincolnshire. But as it is, I didn't, so I can't. At least I know he's occupied and so I won't feel guilty for sending the day at my desk!!!

    Money news:
Need to update my spending spreadsheet and then report back on April and what I discovered about my spending habits. Should be an eye opener!!

What are you all up to today?

Wonderful news popped through the letterbox this morning!

A letter from my mortgage provider to say that I'm eligible for a loyalty bonus. This means that my rate will always be 0.25% less than their current rate.

This brings my monthly payment down by £13.38 and increases my monthly overpayment to £102

    Thanks very much!!

Phew - what a busy few days. It's so full on at the moment on Planet Thistle that I'm not pausing for breath. Managed to get some "me time" in yesterday though which I seriously need to get better at. I'm now booking myself time off in my diary so that it actually happens!!!

Money wise, I need to get back up to date - things have just slipped a bit. My expenses get paid today £190, and then the team part of my earnings comes in tomorrow which covers all my bills for the month!!:D

Also lost 1.5lb at my first SW weigh in on Saturday. Chuffed with that because my week was a long way short of 100%:p

Have a good day everyone. Hopefully catch you all at the other end of my 12 hour day.

Well here I am at the end of a long day.

Group was ok tonight but I was disappointed that I missed the next income % bracket by one member. Quite a difference in earnings because of that.

Anyway, one of my new members who joined SW last week lost 8lb tonight at her first weigh in. Another lady lost 4.5lb and the third lost 1.5lb, but she'd been ill for half the week. Not bad! Average of 4.67lb.

Told the group we're having a tasting evening next week so they're all up for bringing their fave meals to the group for a big nosh up.

Weary now and another marathon day tomorrow as Wednesday is my own group day. I'll be welcoming 100+ through my doors tomorrow so I'd better be fresh and sprightly.
