Evening all,
Comforting hugs to those of you suffering pain and sleepless nights, thankfully I no longer have as much pain since the winds died down a bit....might try cutting back on the anti inflamatories, will give another week and then go for it.
Was in Aldi today and picked up 400g of nice soft wool, going to do a blanket for a friend of DD4 of whom I am particularly fond, she is expecting her first baby in April.
We had a huge brunch today, so not cooking again, will maybe have salad and cheese later.
Many good wishes to all, Julie try to stay upright.
Marie

LW, if you have Higher Rate Mobility component of DLA you'd be entitled automatically to the BB in Wales. Surely it would be the same in England? You can find out here: https://www.gov.uk/blue-badge-scheme-information-council
It is the same in England as I get high rate DLA and it came automatically.
Vets with both dogs in the end and we have to do 3 lots of poopa scoopa for each dog:eek: Then off to the labs for analysis.
Anyway little monkey has been asleep all day!I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Hi everyone,
Wow, the thread was started early, sorry you couldn't sleep Molly, hope your dog is ok (and you, sounds like a tough time at the moment).
Welcome to Mrs Bones
Julie - hope you are ok after your fall, make sure you take it easy
Jools - happy birthday to your mum, such a shame she has to spend it in a sad way
Sorry that some others are still not sleeping too
Made a tiger loaf last night, turned out really well even if I say so myself! All done at work for the week now thank goodness, hoping for a nice relaxing weekend. Dinner is spaghetti and meatballs (same as you redruby!) followed by a treat from the tins
Sending positive thoughts to those feeling down and wishes for a good weekend.

Evening all nice afternoon at History we had a long chat about the wartime evacuation of children. One of the chaps who goes there had been sent to Darby by his Mum who promptly left him and his four siblings and vanished. His Dad was fighting out in the Far East and by the time he was repatriated after the war the family had all been split up.One little boy been put on a boat to Australia and another to Canada. He was eventually adopted by the folk who took him in as an evacuee.Quite a sad thing really but he says he was only three and has only very vaugue memories of his parents anyway. He has no idea what happened to his birth mother though. He did meet his birth father when he was an adult and he too hadn't a clue where she had gone.So many familes split apart by the war.
Well looks like more rain on the way again tonight.I think I am growing gills:)
I do hope that little boy is found safe and well in Edinburgh, his Mum must be going off her head with worry. The weather is so cold as well, it doesn't bear thinking about him being out in the cold and dark poor little chap.
Well I had a productve morning I made about 3 litres of chunky vegatable soup so lunches are all sorted for the next week:):)for the cost really of time and very little else.most of the veg was past its best anyway
Right I'm off to ferret out something for dinner from the freezer
have a good one and keep warm

Hello all. Sorry I've not been here much - life at work has gone daft.
I've scored a big one today = a free secondhand = good condition, M&S sofa. We've been meaning to replace a 15 year old one which the children have killed (and had mice at some point) for months. This came along in the village. I am over the moon.0 -

LW and Molly this government are causing so much stress re disability benefits and everyone knows that Atos will push as many off of the benefit as they can..........they are only in it for the money not for the welfare of the sick and disabled :mad::mad::mad:

Hi all,had a nice suprise tonight my eldest DGS Danny turned up out of the blue for a coffee and a natter, bless him he sorted out my speakers on my computer and also fixed my printer as well which was playing up.So nice to see him ,he is home this weekend from his girlfriends house in Hertfordshire as his beloved footie team is playing tomorrow and he goes to West Ham with his Dad.He works in t.v. and is always very busy so it was nice to have an hours chat to him and find out how his life is getting on, plus of course he is a whizz with computers and gadgets bless him.
Just going off to bed now to have a read, hope all the wakey-up folk can get a good nights sleep tonight, its miserable when you have a bad sleeping pattern.I sleep in 3-4 hour bursts ,but at least I go back to sleep again.
Good Night God Bless all here
