Morning,
Julie - You be careful!!
Mrs Bones - Welcome
Feeling a bit rubbish this morning. I think I have some sort of coldy thing; I feel fine in myself but have had a blocked ear for over two weeks and a silly phlegmy cough but today I have a headache
Enough moaning as I know compared to some of you it's nothing.
I think the weather is getting us all down isn't it? Can't wait for the sunny Spring days
I've made some phone calls today and sorted out some stuff so I feel good about that.
Aldi's cooked ham and chips for tea tonight.0 -
Morning
Just rushing past on my way to start gloss painting in DS room.
All quiet on the western front......until the next thing
Not sure about tea but fancy something meaty:rotfl:
Hugs and spoons all round and sleepy vibes for those that need them xI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hi everybody. Sorry so many of you not sleeping or in pain (hugs)
Quite nice here at the mo,but still bits of water lying in the fields.Actually lyla quite likes it-she's frightened of moving water and wont dip a toe in but she's been getting quite giddy running thru' one particular spot-well it rinses some of the mud off
Bitsy-I'm another who is so sick of mud and mopping every time she comes in,but mindful we havent been affected like some poor souls.I think we'll have to replace the grass in the back garden in the spring though, its so sodden and trampled (& wee'd on) half of it looks dead.
Leftover chicken tonight, prob Chinese style with rice.Yesterday I chopped a load of carrot, leek and celery and bagged/froze it as its a good time saver when I'm making soup or stew.I could still smell the leek when I washed my face this morning though, that's after countless hand washes honestI also made some minestrone soup and put some orzo in instead of pasta- an unopened box i found which expired last year
.There's loads so most of that has been frozen too.DGD is staying over tonight but not sure whether she'll have had her tea beforehand.
I did some mending this morning,DS trackie bottoms where the seam came undone on the backside- he wants them for a bike ride tomorrow so that's spared his blushes
Julie-do take care.
Molly hope Mollydog is ok and you can catch up on sleep later.

Hi all; from a very cold and windy Concrete Cow Country.:D
Welcome to the thread Mrs Bones.
Molly lovely to “see” you; I hope Molly-Dog is feeling a bit better now.:o Uurgh – ESA forms. What's the betting I'll get some to do soon? (Or more accurately, to get Mr LW to fill in for me, like he did last time).;)
I had virtually no sleep last night; I've been having some really ghastly nightmares lately, and I think I'm almost afraid to sleep now.:(
My Blue Badge isn't up for renewal til late next year, but already I'm worrying about it; if I have to go for a physical assessment, it'll mean Mr LW taking time off work to take me, and I'll feel guilty about him having to waste a day's leave, and I absolutely dread the assessor being a man; also if it's any distance away, that'll knock the stuffing out of me big time. Up to now I've qualified on the council's say-so because I get high rate DLA for mobility. If I don't have a Blue Badge I'm well and truly stuffed, because I need to be able to get in and out of the wheelchair, so need an appropriate parking space.
Julie please be careful sweetie; I went cold all over when I read that you'd fallen. The last thing you want is to be hauled back into the horse-piddle. *sends staying-upright vibes *
I had a call this morning with two more bookings – the Little Princesses in April, and the Hairy Hooligans in July. It's hard work looking after two at once, but it's fun at the same time, iyswim.:o
I currently have Jessie lying on my feet (she makes an excellent foot warmer):D I'll have to see if she fancies walkies in a few minutes; before the sky goes pitch-black again.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Afternoon all
I left work early to take back the extra I worked y'day, came home via the CS & managed to get a 2 cardies and 2 dresses for £8, one of the dresses is brand new & one of the cardies was only 50p, so bargains all round. I also bought some mushrooms as I'd run out & hubby will want his cooked breakfast tomorrow morning.
The Head is considering my request for reduced hours & will let me know at a later date.
Hubby will finish around 8ish tonight, I shall put my feet up & knit for a while til it's time to get him.

Afternoon all,
Mrs Bones welcome. We are a friendly lot and its nice to have you here.
Havent posted much in the last few days. Not much Old Styling done in fact I went shopping yesterday after having words with hubby in the morning and blew £50 in wants instead of needs. I just needed to get out of the house.
Spent a few hours this morning at the crematorium to check that my daughters headstone is still intact after the winds and rain that we've had. It upsets me every time I go.
Moving on to this afternoon, just did the usual chores that I didn't do this morning before going out.
Salmon for tea tonight.
Bring on the weekend.... its going to be a long one I can see.

Just had a phone call from DD, one baby is definitely a boy, not sure about the other one as it had the cord between it's legs, the midwife thinks it's a girl, but said don't sue me if I'm wrong. All that is really important is that both babe's are growing well.

LW, if you have Higher Rate Mobility component of DLA you'd be entitled automatically to the BB in Wales. Surely it would be the same in England? You can find out here: https://www.gov.uk/blue-badge-scheme-information-councilI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0
