I must remember that, MWC! :T

Slow start again, and I'm tidying up, both the mess I created when I came back, and the mess that I left behind - miscellaneous doo-dahs and lids used as temporary plant pot saucers, for instance, there's an awful lot of that about :)

Not going too badly, but I'm working soon, and I have a problem with the security certificate at hotmail on firefox, so I'm going to have to either wiggle about with IE or use the help facility at firefox to see whats up. Never ends, does it :D

Work went really well ... so am sitting going through Martin's latest newsletter, and I've given in and joined Swagbucks, he's got a good deal for extra points on offer, and you can get Amazon/paypal rewards :j

Plus I've used IE to open up my hotmail account, and there's just blather in there, but it *might* have been important :p.

A bit more tidying up, I think, bored of the computer now...

    Laterzn:D

I remember my grandfather having a cap in the early 80's which I used to 'borrow' from him to use as a fashion accessory on my dandy themed days. (I think it's what you call a flatcap). We wore uniforms at school so my off time was spent in themed outfits, liberated from various relatives cupboards or sewn from scrounged up cloth - a prelude to my days sewing theatre costumes! Such lovely memorier you've brought back with the mention of your dad's cap!

Oh *thats* why the clothes I wore were a bit mad :D Explains everything :D

    Aw, thats really nice :)

I've had a slightly odd day, yet another slow one, joined swagbucks but not an awful amount doing ... I'm out of practice at getting free points, pah!

I went to inspect "my" sweet chestnut tree, the nuts aren't dropping open yet, and picked up a bag of free mulch at the same place. Air quality seemed fine, but I can definitely see the haze of pollution that the Beeb were talking about, heading over to us from the Continent - more "pah!" :D

Most of my attention today, though, has been paid to ongoing family issues. Tricky :(

Right, I've made a commitment on the Millionaire Challenge, to finish the booklet I'm writing, and to make at least one saleable product (I think it should really be a small range, say 5) for the cat website - i.e. 5 designs I can put up for sale to be put on cards, mousemats, whatever.

To that end, I'm tidying up photos and bookmarks, backing up, freeing space on the kitchen table where all the design stuff is, that sort of thing.

Got two hours of paid work today, and I need to pay in some dosh to the bank, so I might just pass by the whoopsie sections of whatever shops I pass :) Bit more tidying in the house as well, and I'm ready to roll on Monday. The garden is still a priority too (and I had a great result: delayed watering the plants, and there was a load of rain last night with the thunderstorm, that was one job saved!). Thats it: booklet, cat website designs, garden. Vroom ....

Same here! I gave up trying to cram too much into yesterday's post-work evening and woke up this morning to find that the first item on my list (watering) was mostly done! Just a few pots in a protected part of the front which need attention so an easier start to the day!

So true, thanks Cheery. There's no "solution", there's just easing the situation, and believe it or not, I'm the go-to person in the family for money (well, the only thing wrong with my financial situation is the cash flow, so I'm not too bad really, in spite of everything :p).

Isn't it nice when the universe co-operates like that? The pollution/mist/smog down here is still very visible. I find it fascinating - from my first floor, its like one of those pictures of mountain ranges that just recede into the distance, gradually becoming more and more misty, except for the minor fact that its southern England, not the Appalachians :rotfl:

Didn't realise you had such a smog problem down there KC! It's been misty here all day, but I think it actually *is* mist up here, thank goodness. Hopefully anyway, since I ran 9 miles in it earlier and could barely see 10 yards in front of me at some points!
