Morning!
Waves at RT - yep, it was lovely, and his mum and dad were visiting his dad, and my mum popped over there, so they had one of those four-generation pics
Anyway, today ... I wrote out my to-do list while I was having my morning cuppa, and its *so* long, I'm not going to stick it up on here - some things on it are tiny, like "pick up key", others not so much, but it all has to be done in the next few days before I can pay any attention to the cat website, as I'm off to visit my mum soon. So, as Greying says, I'd better shift a tail feather (I do love that phrase :j).
Laterz x2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Phew ... I've done 19/22 of the Things To Be Done
and I've had a little side-issue going on exploring being a mod - the power, the power
The 3 remaining items are:
- cook apples
- check camera download software - this is the sort of thing I *hate*, because something electronic has gone wrong. It may be as simple as a dud charging lead, but when I plug my camera into the lappie to download the pics, Autoplay won't start up anymore, just the stupid *other* software
- send some pdfs to my kindle, which is the work of moments.
I feel like I should be slaving away in the garden, or slaving away on the cat website - tho actually, I *was* faffing about getting picture sizes right on the f/b page, which still isn't published. But what I really want to do is eat, and then it will be dark, uh oh ... still, I got a huge list done today, practically, I'm *not* going to give myself a hard time.
Hope everyone's had a productive day.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Gosh KC, that's excellent progress on your list!! :j :j Please do NOT give yourself a hard time for not doing anything else on top of that, and certainly don't be slaving away at anything, have a nice rest! :j0

Sounds like good progress today.
I don't know about you, but these days there seems to be so many small things to do, they all mount up and take hours
I try and keep up with all the small things, but a couple of days later there's another batch of little tasks that spring up that need to be done!Early retired - 18th December 2014
If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough0 -
You're right Cheery, I realised I was being a little OTT in trying to go out and garden as well
so I cooked - thats still quite recent that I'm cooking, so its a real pleasure
I've been faffing with the camera/computer interface tho - autoplay won't relate to the usb plug that the camera uses any more - I can send lots over another way, into the right folder, but its a workaround, no mistake. At least its doable.
And the pdfs didn't work at all - I wanted a map document on there, and its rubbish - its split the pages in half, and I can't magnify them like you can on a phone, so its not very good :rotfl: but at least I know now(I like that one!).
Apples are *not* going to get cooked!
Goldie - you're so right, the little twiddly things really mount up, don't they - today was a bit exceptional, it has to be said, but there are plenty of things I haven't paid any attention to at all - moving my ISAs, for example, or finishing the arrangements for a backup current account. All in the goodness of time, the priority is the new income streams of writing and the cat website.
And now, just in time - I bought a DVD of Notting Hill in a charity shop on Saturday, so I've just time to chat with Hugh Grant and Julia
Pleasant evening to all :T2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hope you enjoy the movie KC
You have done so well on your list :T and cooking - i have been doing lots of this of late and lots more will be done - that freezer will be in some sort of order eventually

Thanks DDFW! The movie was sweet - lots of fun scenes, and there's a lovely one of Hugh Grant walking through seasons that shows the passage of time, I like that.
I've got a really late start this morning, and I'm somewhat discombobulated because of it, though it has meant I've watched the Ikea cat advert about four times, plus the one about the making of it. Bliss.
Got an hour of paid work at midday, on the phone, but otherwise, there's no one project that speaks to me. However, it has to be the cat website, and the garden. So, its putting the ears on the knitted kitty, playing around with layering to produce new image or making a stencil design, and later on watering and planting in the garden.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Loving your focus at the minute KC
Very inspiring

What a lovely thing to say
thank you Cheery :kisses3:
I confess, I wasn't feeling terribly inspired this afternoon, but I had a snack and went out to the garden - actually, I went out to the patio, the strawberry plants are overrunning it - I've pulled them off the section opposite the kitchen window and swept it, so I've safeguarded my patio, and improved the view from the kitchen window 100% :j
This stuff is important :rotfl: and it feels so nice to be doing something positive that has an *instant* effect
The knitted cat, on the other hand, did *not* go well. The "wool" I was using is 100% cotton, so not pliable, and pretty thick - it looks terrible, frankly, extremely amateurish. I'll take a pic and load up the woeful story onto the design blog, but I think the knitting really needs to be done in something like baby wool. I knew it was a learning curve
Must also learn that its getting darker earlier - its nearly 7.15, and I've got to do the watering, so I won't get the planting done - there's been a few work-admin type emergencies today, I haven't got anything at all done off the list for today. Though I did look at the behind the scenes clip about the Ikea ad with 100 cats :j:j:j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Saw a photo of the second family baby born this year, on f/b - no rolling over for this little mite, he's only about 3 weeks old **beams** Am now a great-auntie x 3
Paid work-wise, however, I need to clean the "public" parts of the house by midday, as a client is turning up, and then more phone work. Got to take the inventory off Amazon too, as I'm off to see my mum tomorrow...2023: the year I get to buy a car0
