Morning! Absolutely, DDFW, I love extending the weekend - not that I don't work, I *slaved* yesterday on the website, a lot of work went into pruning and prettifying - once I pruned, I saw how dull it looked, so I had to re-learn how to choose themes on weebly - it took forever, but I've now got one with a background, so I have to choose the right pic of mine to create said cat-themed background :A at the moment, its a rather stern lion made from wire, which I took lots of snaps of when I went to see the ceramic poppies at the Tower of London. Not cuddly at all :rotfl:
Anyway, there *is* counselling-type work today. Got my business partner coming round for a meeting, then a client coming round too - the real stuff starts tomorrow, and continues. So this morning, I'll work on that background pic for the website, thendo some cleaning - the place is filthy  ( I do so love the shrieky smiley) the sad truth is that working in the garden for 20 minutes creates just as much dirt in the house as working out there for 2 hours . So I have to deal
There's more tidying up today, too2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Just wanted to say KC that I love your posts - they always make me smile! :smileyhea (don't think I have ever used that smiley before!). Seaside investments sound wonderful - love the sea - one of the things I liked about Wales was being within shouting distance of the coast. And glad to see you are looking after yourself too!0

You sound very industrious KC:)
It must be nice getting back to normality and satisfying getting things done againEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Aw, thank you both! Yep, I love the seaside (doesn't have to be sand, the beaches round Liverpool have lots of sandstone rocks - most of the sand we played on as kids was in North Wales
) I love my garden, and I love getting things done (as well as footling about). Actually did what I needed to do on the cat website pretty quickly - cropping a great photo I took last month, rejigging font sizes, that sort of thing. A good meeting with my business partner, then work. Plus a draft of the article on cat collars
Off to Bedfordshire now - ooh, 23.30, just another ten minutes on the forum ... night night all2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

If its seaside, it must be Pipster :j Happy Thursday to you too.
The Happy Wednesday took place at Starbucks, as the nearest coffee shop to the station, as a friend came to my town for a business meeting, which was fun
Today, I've got a lot of paid work in my terms (i.e. not very much at all for anyone with a salaried job outside the house) ... but I've been doing easy stuff already on the computer - it occurred to me that since one range of designs for the cat website is wordles, I need to see what my ordinary fonts can do. So I've been looking at that - took me an hour  and now I'm going to hunt out some ancient CD I've got of Chinese characters, and see what that looks like
Otherwise, another cup of tea is called for :coffee:*
* thank goodness the mug is still on the smiley list :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well, I've been quite grumped-up this afternoon. My computer caught a virus - the anti-virus software caught it, but all the scanning and fixing took ages, and I couldn't do anything on the computer in the meantime. And I especially wanted a bit of downtime in that way because of work
days like this remind me why I want to retire so badly, grrr. Still, life carries on, I've been paid, I've eaten, its not all bad
I'm even about to have a glass of port

Computer all fixed
had a cuppa tea in preference to a glass of port
and am now printing out existing images to play around with to create new stencils
plus I've nearly finished knitting the body of one cat - don't think my tension is quite right, it all looks squatter than it should :rotfl: but one has to experiment, dontcha know
