It certainly is :j
Working soon, and I'll tidy and clean straight away afterwards, then I'm free till Monday
I do need to do the banking, I've been avoiding a client phone calland there's half a dozen little jobs on my list from 2 weeks ago that I haven't done
Instead, I've been having a bit of a jag on scanning - done one file completely nowcreating two empty box files in the process :j which I can use to rehome papers :j
Back to the writing after the backing up. And carrying on with the pruning - I *did* get into the garden last night, starting to weed around the huge blackcurrant bush, my goal is to be able to pick a few, though I'll need to rinse the ants off before I bring them into the house

I can't believe week 5 is almost over KC! Maybe it starts going faster when you split it off into weeks?15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
Progress not Perfection0 -
Maybe it does :rotfl: I'd love to split it into days, but the number of days I work each week varies, because of one-off sessions and because even regulars need to change their days sometimes, because of official appointments etc.
I've worked exactly 100 days this year, including phone session days :rotfl: today is 101, and speaking of which I have to shut down now :kisses3: I looked at your thread quickly, earthgirl, but no time to post now, will have a lovely pootle about on here later on.

Can't believe you're almost down to 4 weeks  :j :j :j What's going to be your first retirement task? Will you be counting retirement from your first free day (or start of first free week)? Or from the minute your last client walks out of the door?
Hope you've got a little mini immediate celebration planned :j0 -
Oh! It *will* be that month, won't it! That's exciting, beanie, I hadn't quite noticed that
Hi Cheery :hello: those are good questions! I'll be counting my retirement from when the door closes on the last client  To be honest, after the last piece of work before my Easter break, I had a little cry as soon as the door closed. Relief, really, I'm ready to finish. But this time, I expect to be like an over-excited teenager
Then .... as things currently stand, my first task is to strip the covers from the foam and wash them ready for a charity shop ragbag. Plus wash the curtains and the door curtain. Zips have to be cut off too. I wonder if they can go in metal recycling, there's a lot of them? The foam will have to be dumped, its old and yucky, just .... yuck.
Although I'm retiring officially on the Friday, my last piece of client work is currently on the Thursday - I'm honour bound to book people in on that Friday, but I'm really hoping no one does:o so the timing of the washing etc is uncertain :rotfl:
There'll definitely be a celebration :j:j:j and my sister wanted to delay her celebration to *my* retirement date, but not on the actual day, my energy reserves won't allow it.
If I end up being free on that Friday, I'm on the bus over to see my sister immediately, sod the foam and all the rest of itWe will have cake
If not the Friday, then the Saturday
cake will rule

Excellent planning there
can sense the relief already kust in how you talk about it. So excited for you! :j

Thanks Cheery! Relief, that's definitely around for me right now
One of the most exciting things will be getting my privacy back, and having my house for myself - as a stressor, it's teeny-tiny in terms of each day, but it really adds up.
Tired and achey this morning, couldn't get myself moving in time to go into the village good and early, but I *need* to do the banking. Might wait till after lunch now
Not sure what to do. If in doubt, have a look on mse
ETA - I've done a big Sainsbo order for a £1 delivery slot next weekI love making them do all the shopping and packing for me
I got enough storecupboard stuff so that I get 5 x the Nectar points.
