Hi Karmacat I hope that your weekend day 3 pans out well for you.
Thanks maddie! Yep, its going pretty well - there might still be a troubling phone call, but this is week 11 in the countdown, so there's not long to go now :)
Wet here, but only really the second day of rain for ages, a lot of the rain and all of the thunder storms seem to have passed us by. I am grateful for what we have had as my (rather large) garden is in a sorry state, I wasn't ill when we bought this bungalow and the garden was one of the main factors for me. Now at least I do not need a crow-bar to extract the majority of the weeds, and hopefully my herbaceous borders will recover somewhat if I am able to pace myself:)
You *know* I know what you're talking about :D this clay soil when there's been no rain, its mad, isn't it! I'm off to post a thank you card, then I'll be doing a bit myself, while the rain holds off :)
Would you mind sharing with me which sleep aids have helped you either here or a PM? (I appreciate what works for you may not for me, but it would give me a starting point). I haven't had a good night's sleep for ages and I am so slow and sluggish. Shopping shortly for light and energy giving foods, or at least non-stodgy things for me, all as usual for OH:D
Ouch, I feel your pain on this too - I don't mind posting it on the thread, it really is just an OTC thing. Boots Sleepeaze - there used to be a liquid medicine, now there's just these things, tablets in blister packs. I know they're effective - even though my neighbour is playing a TV next door (and the soundproofing is terrible - I've tried listening outside our houses, while their windows are open, and I can't hear anything, so it *must* be the bad soundproofing) ... anyway, I know they're effective because I don't get affected nearly so much by their TV, and I confess, I can feel my mouth go a bit numb a few minutes after I take the tablet

If you're at all sensitive to tablets, try the lighter dose first - you can always double up the tablets, if they're okay for you. I do sympathise - not for nothing is sleep deprivation known as a torture :(

Have you checked out the search term "sleep hygiene"? The stuff you can do - getting daylight on your skin, and in your eyes, as early in the day as possible, not eating too much late at night (I thought I knew this stuff, but not all of it) ... there's a lot. Good luck - let me know how you get on.

Thanks for the sleep info KC. I'm currently sleeping really well but used to have awful sleep, all in my last job, I'm sure it was the stress that did it.

Hi earthgirl :) I'm glad you're sleeping well these days.

Stress will definitely do it, its so horrible. Not having enough physical activity, oddly, will also do it in the end :( even if you feel exhausted or have the chronic fatigue thing, or a virus. Thats how I got onto Sleepeaze - something to break the cycle of sleeplessness caused by that.

My business partner and I are finally talking again :j it was me stopping the talking, I didn't want to until he'd explained his behaviour to me via email, I didn't feel safe. All water under the bridge now :j

My 3 day weekend didn't altogether work :o but at least it was only emails and phone calls, not sessions. Quite a lot though. And week 11 starts in earnest tomorrow.

ETA - you're welcome beanie. I think its very complex, because of the demands our society makes on us. I feel a blog post coming on ....

Gosh, the weeks are flying by, week 11 seems to have arrived very quickly. Good news about the communication with partner.

A big thanks from me for the sleep information too, I will buy the tablets today and start gradually I think. A good reminder about the sleep hygiene, I am guilty of not getting outside very early, it takes me ages to get my joints going in a morning, also I am such a cold "bean" that I am rarely without several layers of clothes, keep covered up for gardening anyway 'cos of the nasty scratchy and stingy things:eek: and I wear specs - lost cause or what?:rotfl: I will read up on it all again and more effort will be made.

I have written up index cards showing the best foods (that I am likely to eat) containing Magnesium and Potassium which I need to optimise from food sources (safer) and will do some for other beneficial foods too so that I can, hopefully, eat more of them. One of the effects of my condition is a rubbish memory/brain fog, so I am prone to eating well of something for a couple of weeks and then completely forgetting about it:(

Sun is shining ATM must get dressed and attack a small patch of weeds, I am hoping that eventually all the little areas will get joined up and I will have a lovely garden again. Half an hour's effort, 15 mins rest will be my schedule for today:D

:oSorry, have gone on a bit, didn't mean to take over your diary.:o

Maddie, post all you like about your stuff - its intimately related to my own issues, and even if it wasn't, it would still be welcome :):):)

I can confirm that I've been known to go into the back garden in my dressing gown at 6.30 on a summer morning :) it just feels nicer sometimmes, even with a window open the nights can get stuffy, and that certainly doesn't help sleep.

Beanie - is your birthday actually the 26th? There will be many virtual cakes! I don't think I'll be eating the sugary version in real life, but I might well have an extra helping of something really yummy thats savoury and nutritious .... slurps happily ....

It's all been a bit non-stop this morning, referrals, letters, I can definitely guarantee that the time I spend with a client is only about a half of the work I do *for* that client ... it feels like the week should be over already :o never mind, I'll have a walk around the block before the next bit.
