Thanks earthgirl - it's hard for him, to get a job at the age he is now
though in a few days time, I must tell him about the brilliant idea my sister had - he'd be a fantastic driving instructor, between his love of and skill at driving, and the counselling/tough love training he's had to work with addicts
he really, really loves to drive
Still taking care of myself, absolutely - the kitchen is a tip  and all I can see is jobs that need to be done in there, but I refused, and went out to the garden, another bag of cherry laurel - it only takes 15 minutes, there's so much of it. That's where the sunbathing cat found the space to lie down :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sorry to hear about your brother, KC
- it's a tough time to be job hunting xx

Thanks greent - it's very tough, and he's a terrible, terrible correspondent, much worse than me (!) so I've no idea what's going on. My experience with him is the same as with my ex-friend in the hospice: you have to accept the level of communication that someone else wants to give. Sigh ...
Anyway, I've got some veg in today, I'm slowly tidying a few bits and bobs. I've come across a store of letters from friends and family - I've kept 99% of every letter I've ever received  and these days I don't actually like reading handwriting very much. I'm tempted to scan a few as examples and shred the rest. What do people think? I'll post on the Kondo thread ...
Hope everyone has a good evening.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thanks beanie! If I come across any particularly important ones I might keep them, but otherwise, yes, scanning and shredding - hallelujah! That gets me space not only on top of my desk, but in my understairs cupboard too2023: the year I get to buy a car0
