Hello moneyfordreams :hello: thank you for the good wishes! I'm glad it makes good reading :beer:

I just have a phone session at 3.30 today, changed from Wednesday, so tomorrow will be less fraught :j and yet I still don't need to lug fittings around today, because I'm working on the phone (therapy room setup takes almost 15 minutes at each end of the working day, it does add up ...).

So, today:
- I wanted to do some brambles pruning, and I will if I get the chance, but the rain is pretty heavy right now
- google adsense - I put the initial ad code on my cats website several days ago, and it isn't showing an ad, I know I've done something wrong, I was puzzling it over for ages - will contact my guru
- what I really want to do is spend some time thinking, now that tax year end has gone, thinking about the writing and how to make it work.
- there's also upgrading the blogs - I have quite a few kindle books about that, how to link in to social media etc, just need to work at it.
- there's also fiddly little things that always come up: write to my French bank, they need a handwritten letter, about setting up a direct debit, which is free - they hid this facility from me for a long time, and charged me 4 euros for the privilege each time I needed to make a payment, but I refuse to get caught like that again. Managing to cut down the small costs has really made a difference to outgoings, and I intend to keep it that way

ETA already: I think I *have* done the Adsense thing right, actually, though I still don't know how to post ads so that they appear in every blog post, unless you do it each time? Anyway, I've put the experiment code on the About Me page too, so we'll see what happens there.
I've also asked Pinterest about two business accounts - I know you can do it, I just don't know how! Now a cuppa, while I do the same shenanigans for twitter.

If you need some social media coaching, then don't hesitate to ask also, if you put your adsense code into a html text widget on the side of your blog, it'll show on every post without you having to do anything

Ooh, SF! You star - I'd forgotten you knew lots and lots about bloggiting as well, sorry I'll definitely come back to you on that, thank you very much. I'd much rather it was by the side, absolutely, I tried that with the Amazon search box and wordpress doesn't allow it, but they must allow adsense, surely.

Are you self hosted? In that case, they do allow adsense and you can link all sorts of social media to your site, plus make it automatically share your posts to social media once you've posted them, if you know how

Yes, I am self hosted - I managed to make the auto linkie to facebook, and I *think* Twitter, though that might be self delusion

I made notes on twitter, getting the accounts all set up - I have one in a contraction of my actual name, one for the cats, and now I have one for the other blog as well, with another email address entirely ... but I really want it all set up to run smoothly. I'll be in touch on Thur

I did do my 40 mins in the garden - ahem, I've rediscovered my bay tree pots poor things have literally been submerged in weeds, so not grown at all at least they're alive. Most of a binbag filled in that 40 mins

Morning! Just got my two hour piece of work today, not the phone session, which I did yesterday, then my phone call to my mum - the change in times wasn't by my choice, but I'm really liking it - today feels much less stressed, and because its a phone session, I don't have to faff around with the therapy room (I know I mentioned it, but I'm still relieved - its an experiment, and its really, really worked well).



There are some bitty things that need to be done - altering that order for my mum's birthday hamper, spreading the news of that around, and writing to the French bank, still haven't done that, I hate the sound of it, but I know it has to be done ... cuppa tea first, though.

I will, beanie, honest, though I haven't done a thing today, the to-do list is completely undone. Instead, I gathered up more info about processing aloe vera plants (lots on WebMD) and even hung around watching season 5 of Angel (the lovely David Boreanaz ). Feeling a bit iffy, so not doing too much. Beddie byes as early as poss ... hope you're well.
