Absolutely, and this is the Natural News bit: http://www.naturalnews.com/PhotoTour_Aloe_Vera_1.html
Doesn't have to be all the time, but they do grow, they really do - might as well do something with them!
I'm partial to a loose clasp of issues myself, Goldiedehydrating and aloe vera gel spring to mind right away :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I've worn my voice out with plotting for my mother's birthday present, as its a big one, but thats it now, thankfully. Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (50p in the sale!) is calling2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning
I confess to skating over all talk of pensionsI ignored them completely til I was automatically enrolled in 2010 by employer - now I've swapped employers and have automatically swapped pension schemes but need to decide whether to bring the old pension into the new scheme, or cancel the new scheme and carry on with the old one. I confess my head hurts even trying to think about it
In the old one, I paid 7.6%, employer 16%, in the new one I pay 9.6%, employer 16.4% (I think...) I'm hoping that's building up an adequate stash without me having to do much else - certainly feels like a fair whack is being taken each month!
At any rate, I'm only 35 so I probably won't get it til I'm about 107 :rotfl:
Your mention of rhubarb has just reminded me to check whether mine has started sprouting yet :j Need another day in the garden but this working full time along with dark nights (and, er, spending the entire weekend in Belgium) is scuppering my plans somewhat! :rotfl: I have done gardening by streetlight before (I'm sure the neighbours think I'm mad, but there's one right outside so it's quite feasible!) so perhaps that's the answer...

Belgium, yay! Its a great little country, very individual, and I've blogged about it a couple of times. I like it thereI'll hop over to your thread to see how it went

Its morning, and its sunny again! I was up just in time to see the convergence, but it was too light, and I just saw the moon, basically. Nice clear sky though
The kitchen looks like a bomb's hit it, with all the dehydrating faff going on, and I never finished my aloe vera notes, but in my new "priorities first" attitude, I have to focus. So today, the start of week 31 in the retirement countdown, this is the to-do list:
- face to face session this afternoon
- open up the UK tax declaration and faff with it *again*.
- send email attachments to French accountant (can't send them all in one go, system overload, so it takes quite a few).
- if there's any time/energy left, work on blog posts. Later this week, I'll be working on the blog structures, but I need to keep up the twice a month on each, I only did one each in December, eek.
Should keep me busy

I think they may have already sent me the "overpayment", which wasn't an overpayment at all. Never mind, I know its not deserved, so I'll just keep it safe to return

Done most, but they also need a copy of the new lease, rats, and just got to summarise the income/expenditure listings. Won't take long.

After only having one work day this week, I now have three - still not quite up to breakeven point, but lots better

Always takes longer than I think :rotfl:but everything is scanned, and I just need to attach 5 documents to one email, and I'm done. Will definitely do that before I stop for tea :j:j:j

Not a chance :rotfl: I *will* do more this evening, 15 mins or so, but very basic tidying etc, thats all.

Good work! :j :j
You're right about beasties in the undergrowth of course   bizarrely i'm less bothered by them when they're outside, very odd. Good luck having a nice restful evening0 -
Hiya
Evening was indeed restful - and I slept in a bit too (i.e., didn't get up till 7am). I've banked some cheques, had a rest after that - amused myself until the bank opened by imagining a supermarket dash around the ground floor of Robert Dyas, what would I fling in the trolley :rotfl: my apoca-fiction book keeps me amused in the oddest ways :rotfl:
Anyway, I'm free :j both sets of Accounts *and* the CPD, are submitted! Everything's a mess here still, just like yesterday, but I'm not going to focus on that - I'll do bits later on, gradually.
Today, it's blogging, both blogs, I have some drafts to work on. I might condescend to do a bit of pruning etc if I feel well enough and its not too gusty (45mph forecast)such a delicate petal am I

I'm sorry I haven't dropped in to your thread for ages, KC:o. I've been a bit busy with one thing or another.
I'll be back when I've had the chance to catch up on all the news, friendly banter and fascinating snippets of information that I always glean here.:T
I hope everyone is well:beer:0 -
Hiya honey! I'm glad you're back - I wish there was a diary where I could keep up to date on your news
I've done the drafts, they didn't need much, but no gardening - the storm has caught up with my area, and I'm really not gardening in that
Ready to get going again :beer:2023: the year I get to buy a car0
