:hello: Hi El! Thank you! Glad you enjoy it :kisses3:

And yep, that will be fine - whenever your stove's ready to sit by :) I'm very loathe to ever seem to encourage people to trade, for instance I have a system, but if my eye doesn't like the look of the previous hour or so of movements - if they seem to "take too much of the profit" - then I won't press the button. Its unbelievably complex, and triggers unbelievable levels of fear :o;):p:D:cool:_pale_:whistle::silenced::think::wall::dance::doh::drool::naughty:_party_:question: (that little lot should give you an idea of the mix of emotions :rotfl:)

    - sort the sofa: clean it up a bit, take photos, post on the local sales page on f/b.
    - work on the French lease.
    - little bit more gardening (= mulch spreading, from bought bark chippings this time) at lunchtime, as there's rain forecast for this evening, I think.
[STRIKE]- in the morning, check for trades[/STRIKE].

Might have a quick walk around the block before a cuppa tea and faffing about with the sofa.

I think we should be another few months away till the house is back to se sort of normality sadly :(

It does sound very complicated, I like working my wee brain around things like that though ... It makes me feel more alive if that makes sense ?

I love Matched Betting immensely, but made why I needed and pulled out, I think with day trading it would be more long term but again I would be sensible about it, I more err on the side of caution as well tbh but I do find it all exciting :-)

Contact me when you're ready El - but no matter what you do, you have to trade first of all with a dummy account. For at least a couple of months.

Anyway, today, yep, we had rain overnight, so the clay has softened slightly, which means that when I weed, the roots will come out of the ground again :) they'd stopped, you know :D which was getting jolly inconvenient :rotfl:

I've got work very soon, till mid afternoon, and then I have to go do the banking. I might pop into the poundshop too, to buy a couple of those sets of 3 plantpots, the ones that slot together and build up into a tower - I wonder if anyone on here has used one? Might be better to check out the gardening forum on here first ;)

I'm finding the sofa and the french translation *really* boring ... tho I did post those cat articles yesterday, that was great. I think I need a new mini project - El has inspired me about the Hot Bot, whatever its called :rotfl: the posh haybox, so this is what I'm thinking:

    - base and top made of an insulation frame I have, that can be sawn in half really easy, and an extra piece added, to make two squares, for the top and the bottom.
    - external lining of big old scraps of floor vinyl, nice clean exterior.
    - insulation - old sound insulation, old insulation, old duvets, old pillows (all cleaned, obviously!).
    - the bottom would need reinforcing a little bit, as it will have a heavy stew pot sitting on it - I have lots of dowelling spare, that would certainly be good enough for a stewpot.
    - then build the sides! More of the same, glued and nailed together.
    - at the bottom of one side, and the top of the opposing side (I think, not quite sure about that) there'll need to be holes - I'll have to have insulation that fits into the holes when its used as a haybox.
    - but some of the time, this will be used as a solar dehydrator, and possibly some of the time as a cold smoker :D
    - the solar collecting device is made of tins, bottoms and tops mostly taken out, with a few left half-in and swirled around, to slow the air flow and let the air heat up further.
    - I have an old window to be used as the top of the solar collector, and the sides and back can be made of hardboard (leftover) and lined with bubble wrap (also leftover). Frame - 1" x 1" will be plenty.
    - connection to the "haybox" can be made of sheets of lined aluminium pipe wrap.
    - I already bought the shelving - I was going to make supports from some spare DIY metal stuff, and then buy Wilko cooling trays, but for only a fiver extra, I bought a *rack* of Wilko cooling trays, 3 trays connected for £8 :j
    - if its to be used as a smoker, even a cold smoker, I *suspect* there'll have to be non-fabric lining - so thats where more of the pipe wrap comes in, and also, for the bottom, I have some lovely old slate roof tiles - they've disintegrated too far for the roof, but they can be used for this.

I love thought experiments. I doubt I have the physical capability (arthritis etc etc, boring) to do it all quickly, but its all perfectly within my capability, with glue, nails, and a bit of duct tape.

Oooooo KC that sounds fab :)

Mr El has moaned about getting a door fitted downstairs to keep the heat from the fire in the room, I have told him he can have his door after I get my hot composting box ( I'm sure you will want one as well :) ) he wasn't happy but I informed him I have been waiting for a hot composting box since before we got the polytunnel and that will be 5 years old this year ... Have also told him I will be having new beds made and the wood mess organised, he's not very impressed with me just now lol

Will let you know how I go with the wonderbag :)

That sounds like a plan to me, El! Making your own compost is really important, and hot-boxing it must be wonderful - I have to say, I'm *rubbish* at making compost, absolutely the pits :( no idea why - well, except I don't pay enough attention to it :o

Wonderbox! Excuse me not remembering the name - I knew it was a supreme sort of word :)

Mr El can certainly do without his door for now, as we're in spring now, but I'd really recommend it for next winter. The first house I bought, it was one of those 3 storey things, with only 2 rooms on each floor - so the heat travelled up a *long* way  the solution, because thats mostly where I had my lovely little cats, was a thermal curtain across the doorway from the kitchen to the hall stairs - it kept the heat in really well, it was bought at a charity shop so it was really cheap, and the cats could still nip under the bottom :D

I've done the paid work, popped into the town centre to do the banking, and just missed a shower :) after which there was a double rainbow :j but by the time I went to get my camera, it had gone - never known one to go that quickly! Must have been because the shower was so short. Popped into my local MrM and bought cows milk cheese (the food of the devil, but I lurve it) and some chocolate (reduced, of course ). Here now in the office, and going to do a bit of work on the cat website, I reckon, plus reading Mr Monevator, before relaxing - its Friday! No Friday night session

Oooh, I love Maltesers too :D Especially when they're in a box - they taste extra-specially-nice from a box :D Just bought my nephew a box to go with his birthday present and it's going to be a hard job not pinching them before I see him :o :rotfl:

That haybox thing sounds fab KC! Look forward to seeing it when you're done :j

Cheery, I foresee there may be another box of Malteasers on the go very soon :)

I'll take pictures whenever I do anything on the hay box, and then post a "makings" blog on my personal blog.

I'm off out for the day, doing touristy things in Hastings - tho thanks to Greying, I'm also looking for the Lidl :) - the Aldi is too far away - and thanks to another forum, I'm looking for a **humongous** wooden spoon, fit for jam pans :) an oar has been mentioned :rotfl: the journey's just over an hour on the train, so I'll take me book :D and prepare to be rained upon, it looks like that sort of day.

    Hope everyone has a good'un, tho :D
