At least I never fell for a Spanish apartment deal  I was offered one, with the friend I'm going to see tonight, and we had it assessed by a Spanish lawyer qualified in England too - she said it was illegal, my friend wanted to go ahead because everyone was doing it,

You'll have to get her twerking. After all - everyone is doing it... :rotfl:

Difficult to argue with that one.

I reckon that if they'd taken the deal they'd not be far short of £200,000 down now...

    I reckon you're right, Z!

Games were brill :D and I actually won one (a commercialised version of tiddlywinks :rotfl:) as well as coming last in the other (pass the pigs :j, at least I eventually remembered how to score).

Today ... I scribbled my to-do list, but I really need to get it done, so I'm going to put it up here today, and update a couple of times:
    - washing machine on
    - check English banking
    - pay credit cards
    - check French banking
    - post cat news work
    - photo sprouts (for personal blog, eventually, and foraging book, eventually)
    - download photos
    - translate lease, continuing
    - go to French owners forum.
    - write postcard to friend I haven't seen for a while
    - email science fiction friend about loncon3.
    - British Heart Foundation - book online appointment for them to come remove the sofa I dislike. Which will commit me to buying replacement webbing for the sofa I *do* like.
    - scanning and throwing stuff out

    That'll do.

... and loving that it might be "a facilitator of the miraculous" - wonderful! I have frog stud earrings somewhere, must see if I can find them and clean them up, that will be a reminder ...

Am also loving the thought of miracle facilitaor! Will also have a look for my frog stud earrings that have hidden themselves away somewhere!

I bought them about 9 years ago in Central America & was told they were symbols of the Fertility Goddess. Was told to wear them in order to conceive healthy children. Well I still have no little ones, and have actually never worn them - so I guess by that reverse logic they work?!?:D;)

Would much rather have miracles than children - but then again children would be a miracle, so maybe I better not find them just incase the Fertility Goddess decides to take a shine to me???:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Good luck with that, RT :rotfl: the Fertility Goddess isn't speaking to me any more - fortunately, in this case :D

Snuck in an extra one, and crossed it off, because its scheduled, and it takes 25 minutes :D

Early lunch is cooking - depending on how the list goes this afternoon, I might sneak that in as well :p

Thats going well. Lunch eaten. But I've remembered I need to email another science fiction friend...

ETA - and I've just jumped through another hoop for my professional organisation. Stupid, over-complicated formfilling - I don't know who's worse, the admin people or the volunteers in the top committee. Loathsome. I can't wait to be able to leave :j:j:j

I think I need a few minutes in the garden :D

And I'm in the middle of chopping back some blackberry vines coming through from the wilderness next door, before they smother everything. Things are really starting to improve out there :)

Slight delay: they want to know if the furniture has a fire tag, whatever the right name's called - fair enough, will check.
    - scanning and throwing stuff out

    - plus two goes in the garden, another bag full of rubbish-to-go.
    - prof. organisation work done.

I'm chuffed with that lot! Should have done the French stuff during the day, but you can't have everything. Am about to do a bit of scanning now ...
The italics won't come off  so I changed colour for a bit :D:D:D
