    - drafted a retirement letter thats a tricky one. Very pleased with that, and didn't take half as long as I feared :j

    That's feels good, doing that - and it's even better when you hand it in. It's as if a weight is lifted from your shoulders!

    Frogs! Of course :j:j:j

    I'm self employed, Goldie, so its not a question of handing it in so much as letting each of my clients know, thats why its taking so much time. But yes, this one particular letter, I drafted it a few weeks ago, checked it yesterday and altered a few bits, then hey presto, off it went today, along with an Amazon sale, that will get me £2 or so. I'll use the letter as a model for the texts that need to be sent.

    I've avoided quite a bit that was on my to-do list :o but I did what I could, including buying a really nice one-off card for my mum.

    And I cooked some brownies, and it was really simple :j

    Right, Room 101 and a genealogy programme are calling :)

  • Great minds and all that, Hollyboll:rotfl:

    I just received the Voucher Codes email myself and dashed over here to let KC know about it but you'd beaten me to it:)

    We're all very keen to help you get your outfit sorted, KC;). You shall go to the ball:j

    :j That's so sweet! Thank you both!

    To be honest, I can't quite hack all that at the moment ... the dresses remain untried ... I'm starting to make the vampire-warding sign when I pass by the boxes :o :rotfl: no, not quite, but thats the general idea. I can't seem to make myself do it.

    I've done about 45% of the humongous list ... I suppose I just want to hibernate till the winter's over, and anything else gets me, um, distracting myself like crazy till it goes away. Except the dresses don't go away, they just sit there. Don't want to push myself too hard to do it, that'll just bring the viral illness on again. I wish there was an easy solution. Oh, there is - retirement.

    Three hours paid work today, one of it on the phone.

    :hello::hello::hello:

    :dance::dance::dance:

    Found out why I was so grumpy this morning - it wasn't about Christmas at all :o it was about the tasks on my list that I didn't want to do - the last, carefully worded communications about retirement, plus some "duty" Christmas cards that I want to continue to send but are fairly difficult.

    Now only have 8 cards left to do, all of which are lovely :beer:, I've done **all** the individual retirement stuff (notice on the website is nothing compared to all of that) and I now have 14/34 ticks on my list, with another 6 partly done (and the Christmas cards are one of those :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).

    I feel like I've just got my life back :j

    Thanks SHS :) I can't do it now, tbh, its only 45 mins till I start work, but I guarantee I feel a lot better about doing it now. Astonishing! Doing things I don't want to do really affects me - I'm such a wimp/advanced soul, take your pick :rotfl:

    KC, I'm ashamed to admit that I've been guilty my whole life of putting off so many things that I haven't wanted to do:o.

    When I've had to get on with it and do these things because I've finally run out of time and excuses they've never seemed anything like as bad as I'd anticipated. The black cloud hanging there above my head during the endless putting-things-off period was far worse and the eventual feeling of relief and closure was stupendous:j

    I know your reasons for avoiding things is a different matter with your health issues involved but I can still empathise to a certain extent in the way deferred action can be so demoralising:(

    Have a good day:beer:
