    Nor me :D :rotfl:

Well done on the cards :j I confess I very often don't get round to sending any at all :o But I've done most of my presents this year already, so who knows?! :j

KC that is indeed more shocking behaviour ... first cleaning and now getting on with Christmas cards AND being almost sorted on the present front! Tut tut ...
Like Cheery, I don't do a lot of cards at the best of times and this year haven't and probably won't get near them ...

Very interesting thought about post. I've been for ages and am still intending to read Tim Ferriss, although hadn't heard about the post. It's un-MK, who advocates dealing quickly with it when you get in each day (in between rotating your shoes and resting your handbag, all of which makes more sense than it sounds ;)). I'd got into a bad rut of letting it pile up when I read hers, and am better since, although I don't deal with it as effiiciently as she'd like.

One of the most interesting 'time management' books I've ever read is called 'Do it tomorrow' ... not actually about procrastination but about how if we clear the backlogs it makes sense to do all 'incoming' stuff from each day the next day - it's generally about moving back away from the immediate-reactive mentality that tinterweb and email have brought into our lives ....

Ahem, might go and open some post now ....

It's interesting, isn't it, the different approaches! I reckon if I did it twice a week, I'd be fine - it's just that it got to once a week recently, and thats pushing my luck a bit. As for immediate-reactive ... thats not my problem :o though I know thats the culture these days :rotfl:

No more behavioural shocks, I promise :D erm, I haven't even tried the dresses on, felt really tired so just hung out here. At one stage, I was mooching about looking for out-of-copyright quotes that would look good with some cat photos, found quite a few good ones, some well known, some not. "it is a truth universally acknowledged" :D is one ...

Oooh - I quite like those Hotter shoes - I usually think that Hotter shoes are decidedly not-hot :D - but those are nice for work (if I could wear heels - I have to wear soft soled flats :()

Well done on all the gardening KC. Too cold and/ or wet here to do any (that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it!:p)

I agree! I usually wear trainers, to be honest, because I sit on a cushion on the floor to work, and its just *easier*! Low heels still work, I've got some castoffs from my sister, which I wear to eke out the trainers :rotfl:I think I want the magnificence of the Schuhs, though, for the upcoming weddings :D

Thank you greent! I should have non-rainy weather here again a bit later today, so says my weather forecast, so I'll be out there trying to clear the strawbs yet again, but truth to tell my horrible long term lurgification is back :( so I don't know how much longer I've got - though I felt okay when I was doing some early phone work just now, so we'll see.

Just trying to press on steadily and keep my health up. Beginning of Week 38 in the countdown :j

Having got all behind I planned to just jump in and start from here - but - shoe chat....shoes have become a bit of a weakness.
Rather liked those shoes in pink!
Must ebay the hot pink heels I bought recently for a party - they were so uncomfortable I will never wear them again!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I must have a gene missing or something, watty, I haven't drooled over shoes since I was about 25 ...

I *did* drool over my mid-calf cowboy boots (classic look), and the black "snakeskin" ankle boots

Am all done and dusted here:
    - weeding! pulled out a few isolated gits, big ones, that had spread their tendrils everywhere. Ha! And joined up a few more areas :j
    - posted up a blog post on one of the blogs.
    - started writing another on the other one (ah! the cats of Harry Potter, thats my fave right now :D)
    - drafted a retirement letter thats a tricky one. Very pleased with that, and didn't take half as long as I feared :j

Still haven't tried the dratted dresses on - it was fun looking, but I loathe trying dresses on, madly and deeply ... got to do it tomorrow, I'm pushing near to the cut off to return them if not, I think. Its all gone really well today though :)

Hi Firegirl! I hadn't looked at it that way, thank you! I have to tell each client individually, and only then can I make an announcement on the website, and this is one of the last individual "tellings" - for some people, it's really traumatic that I'm retiring, which is why I haven't been looking forward to this one :o but you're right, it *is* exciting, and very freeing too :j After this, there's two texts, and then I'll be doing the website thing :j

Today, hmmm, no paid work, so here's whats to do:
    - sold a book on Amazon, need to post it off. Not huge, but decent amount.
    - print out that retirement letter and send it off!
    - try the dresses on. Thats getting urgent :o
    - washing machine is on, as an act of faith in the weather forecast.
    - carry on with Harry Potter post
    - carry on with garden
    - carry on with Christmas cards :D
    - and buy a special Christmas card for my mum, there's a shopping event at the little local village, so I'll be trying for it there.
    - I may manage to ring my business partner :p

    Great news on retirement letter.
Haden't thought of you having to do it so early but it makes sense.
