Good idea to squeeze the Monday into the previous week - you don't want the countdown clock to suddenly start going upwards. That wouldn't do at all !

It so mild outside at the moment. We've also done a bit more garden work today. Usually, by December, we're tucked up inside, but this year, autumn seems to be going on and on

Thought of you today KC while I was pottering about weeding the path outside the door :D Pulled up a load of that stuff that Pippi likes that I can never remember the name of, with the green flowers :o:D I've loved having it there, but it's just growing in the gap between the house and pavings, there's not actually a bed - and it's gone all brown and lanky now - so out it came :D

(I didn't stay out for long though, it was quite cold...) :D

    Cheery, I'm honoured :j

Earthgirl, I'm sorry you and Cheery are having it so cold, but as Goldie says, its really mild down here - this morning, in fact, I didn't need the heating on! I'm sweltering now because I've had it on to finish off the stuff that was on the line :p

I *did* get out to do the gardening - another square foot of garden freed from the ridiculous strawberries :o

Before that, however, I had to deal with a flood upstairs :( a tap that was left on nearly flooded the place. The floor covering was professionally laid and sealed, so I don't think any leaked through to the rafters etc, but only because it was so noisy I interrupted the session and went to see what was going on  I'm not a fan of floods, having had one already ...

Am happy I just have writing work tomorrow :j:j:j haven't done enough this week, though I do need to do supermarket shopping first thing. I can live with that :D

Crikey KC! Glad you caught it in time and without it causing a load of damage  What a palaver though!

:j yay to more strawberries being cleared :j :j Very impressed by this gardening a few minutes at a time business :D Because my garden is so small I feel I have to do the whole lot at once, but then I don't... Will yours be nicely cleared and planted ready for the spring do you think? So lovely to be able to have breakfast outside surrounded by spring flowers :j

Definitely! I mopped the worst of it up by putting the towel on the floor and then "skating" :D which was fun in itself, but not something you want to *have* to do!

It's needs must to do it bit by bit, but I really enjoy it - certainly the four foot wide border by the patio will be cleared and planted by spring - I want to put the garlic in some of that, anyway - but what I really want there are herbs, to just pop out and pick. Edible flowers will do nicely too - whether for me or the bees, I'm not fussy which :j but nearly everything has to have a use apart from looking good (though it has to look good too!). My standards are getting very high, which I love.

I say! The detailing on those is beautiful, the way the materials fold to form the bow ... I hadn't seriously considered hotter, I confess - the shoes people around me buy from there are quite practical, but those are lovely.

I did manage to go to the supermarket this morning, but it really wiped me out, which is why I'm on here late-for-me. Still, got what I wanted, including a battery for the smoke alarm and some bulbs for the kitchen light, which decided to go-slow last week.

Right now, hmmm, I think I might do more strawberry clearing - the worms have had time to get safe from my trowel (another reason I don't do too much at once!). And if the threatening rain starts up, I can grab the washing quickly and run inside, a classic activity from my childhood :rotfl:
