He's really something, isnt he! I think he's related to Henry James who wrote Turn of the Screw?

Gardening! Chopping up buddleia branches and bits of ivy, and digging up Japanese anemone, grrr - just one of many huge plants in a narrow border *right* by the back door, no sense at all!

Have otherwise been faffing about :D I do like faffing on a Sunday :)

Love all of the dresses :)

What about irregular Choice shoes? - some designs have small heels but they're funky shoes:

I have a thing for Iron Fist shoes:

I wore a pair very similar to the first (complete with the studs) when being a model at a WI fashion show - the audience loved them - I had to remind them they were meant to be looking at the clothes, not the shoes (all the models wore their own shoes) :D

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: omigod, those Iron Fist shoes are delicious :j:j:j especially yours with the studs! I'm not into skulls, I confess. But the studs, bring it on :j Problem is the arthritis in the balls of my feet - I wouldn't be able to walk, or stand up straight :( sorry.

But I *really* appreciate you posting, you star, greent!

The irregulars are wonderful. Truly, deeply wonderful. Thats *exactly* my taste! Just had a look at all the low heeled ones - there are some that are the same colour, self patterned ... I don't think I can wear multi coloured shoes with a multicoloured dress, my brain starts ringing alarm bells - I need to be a bit more coordinated these days. Wait a minute - the first one you linked to *is* self patterned, more or less.

Damn, I've been away from consumerism for too long. I'm not even going to post the linkie to the personal blogpost I've just done. I don't need to!

Greent, you have to have several gold stars near your avatar :):):)

Awww, thank you Gally! I agree, actually For you, you need an Irregulars in a sandal formation, as a glamorous expat on intercontinental holidays :j

ETA - I've hidden the post I did on my personal blog. The boots are lovely, but the shoes are hideous. Lesson Learned, as they say.

I figured the IC shoes would be a good possibility for KC, just from what I have gleaned from MFW posts :D - and I put the (relatively) plain ones up to show they don't all have to be funky coloured :) - the heels are low and reasonably chunky - and the strap adds to the ease of wearing them :)

I love shoes - DD's friends were most surprised when she showed them some of my collection - they said 'but she looks so sensible!' - same as the school mums - they saw some pics on Fbk - they mainly see me in slip on skechers for the school run - I have on/off plantar fasciitis, a dodgy hip and issues in cold/ wet weather from a couple of old broken toes, so high heels are kept for rare occasions - but I love them (and I'm not quite 5 2" in height, so it really makes a difference when I wear them) (My IF studded ones are more gothic roses with skulls hidden very well amongst them)

My foot issues are more from ballet, I think - it all helped cure flat feet, but created later toe and ball-of-the-foot problems, hey ho - I've just checked where the stores are, and there's a couple quite near me - directions to one are deceptive (it names two different towns), so I asked online help, which they really push hard - they even wanted to see me! luckily my camera is switched off *and* blocked :D - but they were useless, in spite of eventually going off to check hearsay at the call centre. They nearly lost me with that, but the shoes are too good :j:j:j

Bleep, this morning has been stressful. Highly ... I'm so glad I'm retiring soon. Sorry to go on about it so much :( Anyway, its led me to actually look forward to the face to face work I've got scheduled for midday, so thats not bad :D

Thank you sweetie! Much appreciated :kisses3: and I remember the vicariousness through Goldie, that's true ... Gally's came on too fast for there to be too much :D so thats fun to be the one spearheading it now :j

Just realised I've done the things I *had* to do today:
    - difficult work call
    - email, sort of ditto
    - cleaning
    - midday work

Excellent. I'm going to do banking tomorrow, so I'll post off the webuy books parcel then. So, for the rest of today:
    - late lunch.
    - bit more pruning, if I don't get blown away.
    - bit more cleaning and decluttering - the gloryhole by the back door is looking better and better :j
    - possibly a bit more Christmas shopping - did a couple of substantial things yesterday online :j even if I don't actually shop today, I might get the cards out :cool::D
    - finish a half finished blog post.

  • I hope you're all having a better day than we are here, it's been absolutely teeming with rain all day and now the wind has got up again so it looks like a noisy night in store with the cat yowling his head off to go out. He just won't use a litter tray and I keep the cat-flap closure thingy on when it's very windy as the blasts of cold air completely cancel the meagre effect of the heating that OH will agree to having on:eek:. I'm up and down all evening and half the night letting him in and out. The cat that is, not OH:rotfl:

I went out to post some books that I'd sold over the weekend and at the same time picked up my winnings from Saturday's Lotto. No, I didn't win the jackpot, but I did win £25:j which is what they pay for 3 balls nowadays. I buy a ticket only if there's a mega-rollover (foolish I know as probably everyone else is doing the same:rotfl:) and had forgotten it had gone up from £10 to £25:o.

Good luck with finding and buying your dream shoes, KC:beer:
