hi KC - just sent you the code for the 20% extra - didn't seem to be an exclusive - they sent it in an e-mail - RT
Happy Virtual Hug duly sent to you, RT :j:j:j
SHS - shoes are a nightmare! My mind's eye has been trained to accept high heels as the right look at my age - I love the clumpy shoed look with tights/short skirts, but these dresses really need high heels. But I can't wear high heels to stand up in *at all* - cos of my arthritis (in the balls of my feet, of all places. Had to stop adult ballet years ago because of it). I wonder if I can get away with carrying heels for the pictures? :rotfl: and then change to something easier?
Also ... I've ordered size 12 on all of them, which is slightly too big at the bust and hips, and tiny, ridiculously small on my waist. I still go *in* at my waist, but .... not enough, obviously:rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well what about a character shoe with a 1" heel?

GG they are lovely - The sparkly silver ones make me think of 1920's flapper style! - I've got a pair of the Capezio dance shoes & they are remarkablely comfortable as the sole is super flexible.
KC - what about a pair of these...
I had a pair of the flats for walking from the car to & from that posh garden party a couple of years back - & then put on proper shoes for the main event.
Did the same thing yesterday for a work related function - they are brill as then come with a nice little bag to carry around the other pair.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Still looking for comfy plain (no ties, ribbons other embellishments etc) black ballerinas with reasonably thick soles - PMs welcomed if someone finds some...
And I should not be posting this - I'm on kondo (Marie Kondo) thread too and still need to kondo my shoes....but needs must...0 -
All this talk of lovely shoes makes me so envious of the people who can wear them:o.
I'm not quite 5ft 2 but have very big feet for my size and misshapen too thanks(or not!) to cramming them into pointed-toed very high heels in my late teens and twenties. I'm paying the price now:( and drool whenever I pass window displays of strappy shoes.
I buy shoes only when desperate (when the ones I'm wearing have completely worn out:o) as it takes me so long to break-in a new pair. I was cheered up a bit recently when I mentioned to a fellow shoe browser (I was looking for some winter boots) that I had trouble finding anything I liked because I have enormous feet. She looked down at my feet and said they looked OK to her:T and that she took size 10 herself:eek:. She has to have anything a bit unusual or special imported from America although UK shops are getting better at catering for really big sizes nowadays.0 -

I have lovely black ballerina shoes from Jones the bootmaker (just a small tie at front), bought in a half price sale, also a selection in varying colours by RIVA, they are expensive at £79, but again I bought in sales over time. http://www.robineltshoes.co.uk/store/filtered/b_Riva/p_between_75.00_and_89.99/
also see that D4benhams have a selection starting at £45.
I am on MC thread too and still not done my shoes either:(The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Thank you for the help! I really appreciate all the posts :kisses3: I'm not great at shoe shopping, and I'm too comfy on it.
Will post link to 3rd dress later, and look at the linkies properly - righ now, both my sister and me are well enough that we can carry out a plan we hatched, of taking old double glazing frames to the tip, and she's on her way
:j I might really get to sort all this out!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
