Just emailed the website that I think CBC told me about - crazyabout magazines? 21 SFX magazines I've given house space to for a looooooooong time ... we'll see if they want any of them.

I don't think it was me, KC, but I flit about online so much and arrive at so many interesting and unexpected places that it might be. Won't take the credit if it was someone else though;). I hope it has a profitable result for you anyway:beer:

OH and I have a weekly battle when I attempt to create order by spreading a said category (i.e. mail or spices or clothes) out in piles for a few hours to sort & decide what gets gifted/recycled/donated vs kept/used/stored. He then gumbles about the trips to friends places, the charity shop or the tip only to come home and say 'that's another job jobbed':rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    I love that :j:j:j
A big part of our clutter involves things we've been gifted that we thought might come in handy one day... lesson learned - they don't! Now I'm a lot more careful about accepting anything I don't have an immediate use for!
Ah! **nods wisely** that's true. In fact, I'm not wise at all - yesterday, the community hall I go past en route to the supermarket was asking people to take stuff from their skip :D as they were starting a renovation. Well, I had to help! So I now have four pint glasses with the Bulmer's logo on :D :j :rotfl: I can pretend they're for water!

    Aww, CBC :kisses3:

I've done absolutely nothing except relax and enjoy myself :j which does include taking something upstairs if I'm *going* upstairs, but thats fine :p I have to have one day a week without "I should ...." typical bleedin' counsellor, innit :D

Okay, I confess, I've been tidying for 45 mins already :o the mess got a bit much :D

Right, the to-do list for today:
    - short phone session with client at 9am
    - one post on each blog, they're fully drafted, just need to faff
    - download pix from camera
    - scanning
    - back up computer
    - bit of weeding if my shoulder will take it. And I might straighten up after that by taking some books to the chazzer - I checked things out on Amazon, and they're old editions, not even sold there, and even the new editions are going at silly money. Chazzer it is.

  • Don't go wearing yourself out, KC.

I envy your dedication to backing up your computer:T. I'm ashamed to say I do it very rarely and have 'lost' a lot of valuable stuff and caused unnecessary work and stress for myself in the past:o. The habit to do it is still not ingrained and every time you mention doing it on your TD lists I make a mental note to do the same but never get round to it:o:o:o

Never fear, CBC - I'm really careful with that these days. And I slept really badly last night, so I'm sort of dizzy in the bargain - not a situation where I can run about doing lots :o

Oh dear! I hope you don't lose any more!

The reason I'm doing it so much at the moment is that I'm downloading lots of documents and pix all over the place - from my camera and my phone, as well as the web, and I can't afford to lose those pix and that info - its all about the two blogs. And I'll never, ever forget that when I upgraded from my 2nd to my 3rd computer, it wasn't normal to have external hard drives, so I transferred the info. on CDs - and a couple of them turned out to be duds, and I lost that information  If it had been my genealogy research, I'd have been devastated, I really would, so now, I back up my external hard drive regularly, my big flash drive even more regularly, my little flash drive (it can't get the pictures on, but at least it saves the data) less so, and once in a blue moon I back up my old laptop :o which is tucked away at the bottom of the wardrobe :o You don't have to be there to do it, so its just a question of setting it up.

I'm not rushing, though - I wondered if I might do something with pinterest today, but I didn't feel up to it, so I rested downstairs. So tomorrow, I'll figure out how to put an Amazon linkie on the sites, start linking up one of them to goodreads (there's a widget especially for that :j) and pinterest. All this architecture's necessary, but completely foreign to me :p

Stopping now, maybe for the rest of the evening - I've got a few iplayer programmes to watch, including Edwardian Farm :) Hope everyone has a good evening.
