Thanks Cheery! That aim might be slightly further away right now - so far this morning I've found six bees on the inside of my office window  I'm really unhappy about it :o

They haven't come in an open window, cos of the fly screens - I don't *think* they've come from the loft hatch, like the cluster flies did :( because they're *all* at the office window, which isn't the nearest one to the hatch ... the window concerned is right next to my airing cupboard, which I opened this morning for the first time in a couple of weeks ... either they're coming from there, or there's a pinprick hole in the ceiling somewhere there, or to the outside somehow :(

If I call them wasps, I can get a pest control guy in ... :(:(:(

Can I lend you a labrador who loves to eat them regardless of the consequences?

Oh no! Hope there aren't any more - perhaps just a few ones getting cosy over winter in the airing cupboard?

Bizarrely I've had about 12 flies on the inside of the attic window this morning, which is unusual - it's often wasps hanging around in there....

I'd love a labrador to eat them, but I doubt they go down well - the "consequences" whereof you speak?

Found a couple more, but I'm just going to hang on till tomorrow to investigate - I'll make sure they can't get into my bedroom

Not awfully good on my to-do list: lightbulb, birthday cards, Norfolk research and weeding - none of it done! I *did* walk into town to post the cat collar :D

Last ever Top Gear, here I come - very mixed reviews.

Bee stings Labrador. Labrador shakes its head and thinks "Ow that...yummy! A bee" repeat until bees are gone.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Poor thing!

Poor bees, come to that :rotfl: mind you, if they're dozy enough to be eaten by a dog, they're coming to the end of their lives, aren't they!

I thought I posted something this morning ... oh dear, ditziness returns with health!

    Anyway, some progress made:
    - no more bees today! Though I was very late opening the airing cupboard, still, nothing's emerged so far. Must have been a one off. Puzzling.
    - changed the lightbulb. Not sure I'm going to keep it - its a dimmer switch, so its weird nowadays, and the shade is an odd (but lovely) paper shape. Too old, so its got holes in now where I struggled with the frame, but at least I dusted it :rotfl: that really affected the brightness :rotfl:
    - two birthday cards sent.
    - two emails sent, about future trips :)
    - bought *another* domain name, for the blog, and realised I didn't cancel one I don't use - luckily it isn't too expensive, but still, grrr.
    - diatomaceous earth arrived by courier - the delivery email says someone called David signed for it!!! Cheeky beggar - I've emailed the seller, given his goods great feedback.
    - cooked banana loaf - yum!
    - continued the little raspberry harvest :j
    - started to sort through post to do before holibob, not too bad.

Got to do some watering this evening, mostly of the pots.

And an early to-do for tomorrow - I need to write to the CBT folks, they answered my first letter in two days, and nothing in reply to my second letter for 8 days now :( I wonder ...

Retreating downstairs to the cooler side of the house now, its blinking hot in the office!

Hope everyone has a lovely evening.

So glad CBC's cat turned up.

Hope the bees stay away KC. I know bees do a lot of good with their flower pollinating..... But I can't bear to have them near me - it's one thing that freaks me out. To have found six together would have made me crazy
