Same here too, well probably worse as it was beating on the windows all night:(. Planned to do a car boot sale today , loaded car up in afternoon but heavens opened at teatime and it's never stopped since:eek:. Know from experience that the site will be waterlogged so have reluctantly chickened out. Not best pleased as was relying on making a bit of money today.

Oh well, there's always next week. Heatwave forecast for Thursday onwards;)

Since last night! Yuck! Sorry you're missing out on a moneymaking opportunity, CBC :(

It's still going here, unfortunately, but a bit lighter - I think I might have to go out for a walk in any case, and just get changed when I come back :)

During my mum's visit yesterday, I spontaneously blagged myself a load of French fruit - there's quite a few fruit trees on my sister's property, and even though they travel in the car, they only bring back enough to eat for a week or so. Out of the blue (to me as well :D ) I told my mum they needed to pick all the fruit they could, and bring it back - I'll go over to my sister's, with my shopping trolley, and collect it. I'd go over to see my mum anyway, and I'll return some of the fruit to them wot picked it as lovely jam :j

    what's your fave?

Missed that (re. Jack London). Probably John Barleycorn, it discusses his relationship with alcohol :coffee:

Thanks for that - just checked it on wiki, and omg Jack London invented pink elephants!!! Or recorded them first, anyway :)

I have to be ready for work by 11.45, and given how much mud I tracked into the house over the weekend, that's quite challenging :rotfl:

Other news - I sold a dvd! It was bought at 5pm on Sat, so no chance to post it yet. And I put that ipod shuffle up onto ebay, and it has a bid :j frankly, the box is so tightly shut, I can't even open it - I've mentioned it in the description, but is that normal **quakes in fear at bad seller review**? Anybody remember apple packaging? The auction is finishing this Sunday, so plenty of time.

Hope everyone has a good day :)

I believe he had a few literary firsts, although I cannot remember the others. You can buy complete novels or similar on Am@azon for 99p :)

    Excellent stuff!

Just shutting the lappie down for now ... and I've done most of the cleaning in the way that was always intended ... swept through the whole house at once, all the tiling, all the vinyl - plus nearly done all the rugs (four, all small) ... plus I've swept the stairs. When you do it all at once, you don't carry on tracking through. Bliss.

I'm sure the DVD will be fine. Sure they will contact you if there's a problem and you can refund them, worst case scenario:0)
