Thank you greent, beanie :) the stamps have 2 watchers, not the collars - I think I may have priced the postage a bit high, but I'm prepared to play the long game now, thanks to Goldie :)

I actually have paid work to do today! And an hour's freebie online seminar about copywriting ... and then my phone call to my mum, after which I will crawl to my armchair and pretend to be a zombie :)

I experimented with the dandelion jam yesterday - epic fail because the proportions of the recipe were weird and most of all because I added in xylitol (improves gluten free crumb in baking!) and it went, um, boom. Had to throw everything out. I rescued a tablespoonful, to have a taste, and dandelions really have potential, I can tell you. So tomorrow, I'm going to see if my local supermarket has pectin, and I may try again over the bank holibob weekend. All the dandelions are from my garden (mostly in the grass, and let grow there because I really dislike monoculture), so its all good :)

Do you hire out your [STRIKE]nagging[/STRIKE] reminder services - I may need to make use of them!

Yes I am available at very reasonable rates.

    Nah. That's a fun project.

Now, about the mould in your porch girl-says-no-no-smiley-emoticon.gif.

Oh, and by the way, after that comes the outside shed that needs to be made weatherproof. You see, I DO pay attention after all animated-msn-big-grin-smiley-emoticon.gif

    Oh drat :rotfl:

I really did laugh out loud at that :rotfl:

Yes, you're right. Okay? The haybox is a fun project, the mould is actually even more important than the sealant **pouts**

    Oh double drat :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yes. That should be done not-in-the-wintertime, you're right. Oh dear!
KC, have you started your haybox/dehydrator/smokebox/solar oven yet?
    Yes **quivers**

Yes, I have - I have a cube made of 1" x 1" wood, a reinforcing strut on the bottom, and the bottom has an outer lining made of vinyl floor covering. The bottom is also insulated with foam sound insulation. A few struts have been added here and there so that the outer lining can be nailed on, and vents for the smokery/ solar oveny necessities accommodated. Its a faff, I tell you! On Friday, after the last client has left my house, I'll set it all up in the therapy room - its isolated from the party wall there, and I can spread the stuff out as need be.

Oh good grief, what have I let myself in for! :j

Hope you are roasting those dandelion roots for coffee?
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Noooooooooo :p I'd have to dig them up then, and then they won't give me leaves for greens, flowers for jam, buds to pickle, and clocks to act as tinder for fires :D And I earnestly intend always to be able to buy proper ground coffee for my one cup a day :j As a London-based New Ager, I tried for years to like Barleycup etc, and I never did :D come the apocalypse, I'll be one of the zombies at the shops, but I'll be in the coffee aisle :D

I read that before I posted, KC, that's why I was baffled:rotfl:. What the dickens does it do? When it's fully functioning that is:p. Does it smoke and dehydrate as well as cook? Presumably it has to be used out of doors so why would you want/need one? Forgive my ignorance on such things but I'm genuinely intrigued.
