Great stuff on the mortgage :T.Hope your ears have recovered since yesterday :rotfl:.
And you, not your ears, but, well, just general horror at general KC-ness
Blimey that is only just over 3 years :j :j
Just been out in the garden - this is moneysaving because I'm digging up the strawberries that self seed at one to the square inch, as well as the grass, leaving me (and the bees) access to heather flowers, chives, oregano, alchemilla mollis (not our Alchemilla) and a bit of the lemon balm thats cleared too. Putting a slathering of soil on now, a bit more tomorrow, and then bark chippings

Alchemilla Mollis (one half of the reason for my username) is so beautiful when it has raindrops on it.0

It is, isn't it
I just didn't want people thinking I'd made *you* do the work on my garden or something :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Just had an email from the broker I used to set up my recent private pension. Since they've deffo received the money (even tho it was a comparatively tiny amount) £600 can now be added to my pension pot, the govt's tax-relief gift to me2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Brilliant work there KC, look at that percentage in your sig! :j :j0

Thanks Cheery! About half of it is a family understanding, tbh, because of other matters going on, but half of it is mine own - astonishing, really!
I'm online right now because I'm listening to a live webcast about copyrighting from Writer's Digest - its pretty good, especially for a free one
I've also got space to admire the cloud formations right now - amazing, with all this wind about2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Just been catching up on all your news - it's been like a potted history of the last two weeks!
Glad to hear everything is generally positive at the moment- that's a good chunk of your pension shortfall that has been made up!
To continue a discussion from a couple of weeks ago.
samphire.
I had it about 5 years ago, and it was horrible. Is it really supposed to be that salty?
It actually made me sick!Early retired - 18th December 2014
If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough0 -
Sorry you were sick after eating samphire, Goldiegirl:eek:. I think I started the topic after Edinburgher and Karmacat were talking about the dietary merits of seaweed. I mentioned samphire because I love it but it got a mixed reception from people on here who'd ever eaten any.
Yes, it is pretty salty but not overly so for my taste. It can be eaten raw in salads etc but you have to be careful as it can taste really salty that way unless it's the youngest, freshest tips. Better eaten steamed IMO0 -
Hi Goldie!
My diary is a bit blow-by-blow, isn't it - its the whole thing of working from home and being low in physical energy, which means I don't get out that much
Samphire - you'll probably remember (since it was only yesterday for you) I had what we thought was stale samphire in a too-posh restaurant. I like salty taste, but yes, that was horrible. CBC, steaming sounds a really good idea, I wouldn't eat it raw at all (I've just been adding to a thread on liver flukes ) and I appreciate there isn't much danger of that from samphire, but watergrown crops seem problematic _pale_
Anyway, there won't be much updating from me today - I've got actual paid work. Still the copywriting webinar yesterday was good, and its a new month.
Since its *this* new month, and its before midday too (hint hint, have a think) I can tell you that even though I don't do the lottery, they rang me up and decided to give me ten million pounds:p:p
