Leaving HL without transfer charges

Slightly off-topic but not entirely; an article has appeared in the Mail today:
"Death fee on ISA accounts: Hargreaves Lansdown under fire for pocketing £600 when you die."

It's been an article here since January.
Good old DM, late to the party as always.0 -
And yet more criticism of HL in another brief piece in the Mail:
Fund supermarket A J Bell has even written an apology letter to more than 200 customers who have been trying to move their money from Hargreaves Lansdown without success for three months.

HL seem to be getting more obsequious in their correspondence lately.
I wonder if they are starting to think they've miscalculated and are genuinely getting worried about their image.0 -
4 working days and counting since I sent HL my secure message complaint about new exit charges, still no reply whatsoever.
Either they are completely inundated, or trying to work out what to do to stem the flow of customers.
Whatever they do now I've had enough of them and their arrogance.0 -
They may be sending you a letter.0

So two transfers on the go with two complaints to waive exit charges.
10-Apr. Transfer 1. Complaint to HL awaiting response
13-Apr. Transfer 2. Complaint to HL awaiting response
No response from HL so have sent a second secure message asking for response to first.
Above post suggests they may have responded by letter. Is this how they have been responding? Seems a bit strange if one sends a secure message the most straightforward process would surely be for HL to reply to the message.
All seems a bit of a shambles. If/when they agree to waive exit charges I then have the elongated transfer to look forward to.0 -
You will get a letter which seems to be their preferred method of communication. Mine took about a week.0

I sent a secure message about exit fees and had the response by secure message....never received a letter.
I'm 8-10 weeks in to the transfer process.....ISA transferred completely SIPP hasn't even started!'Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it; he who doesn’t, pays it' - Albert Einstein.0
