  • Hi,

    thanks for reply.

I tend to be quite passive, have a tidy up maybe once a year, mainly funds.

All of my HL accounts are showing a "Suggested minimum cash balance" of £5, this is much less than my mother's accounts and she has considerably less invested than I do (I am switching to II, she is staying with HL at the moment). Presumably this £5 figure is the minimum their system will allow since my exit fees have been waived and I will remain on the old pricing structure until the transfer is complete. The £5 figure could be a good indicator as to whether you are on the new or old pricing structure?
Does anyone know yet why the "suggested minimum cash balance" on these ISA accounts and Fund & Share accounts has dropped to £5 irrespective to value of holdings in these accounts?

I assumed this was because I am moving away from HL and they have agreed to keep me on the old pricing structure until the move. Hence no 0.45% platform fee.

Is anyone who is not moving away from HL seeing these £5/£10 suggested minimum cash balances?

  • Hi,

    just checked mine,

    Fund and Share a/c £5,

old Pep, which I merged with Isa and has zero balance, £5,

    Isa, £140,,

so will need to think transfer to ii.

Are there any template letters to get charges reduced or waive transfer fees?

I'm seeing a £5 minimum cash balance, at the same time HL are sending me emails telling me I need a four figure cash sum to cover this month's pension payment! My platform fee under the old fees was £6 a month.

Seems a stupid comment, I'm not rich at all but I was trying to be helpful.
