Tesco, again, they reduced product after i had bought it full price, then discontinue

Just spoke to someone at Tesco concerning the manner in which i bought my sons Bouncy Castle on the 31st May and then a week or so later they reduce it by £26 then discontinue it.
Im livid at the manner in which all companies do this, especially after Christmas, but feel that something should be said about this.
I'd like to see all companies acknowledging that if a product gets reduced within a space of time and we had bought it that we can get a part refund.
I understand that this happens to many of us but it is getting beyond a joke with the way in which they deal with us.
Tesco said sorry yet i was not impressed and will be writing to them concerning this and asking them to look at their selling procedures and asking them to why they can't offer refunds if the product is reduced and then discontinued.
Has anyone else had probelms like this?
It would be interesting to read them and maybe get something in motion concerning the way companies are doing this.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Have as good day.

What?!!
So you want stores to display a sign saying 'Currently £50, but if you wait until next week it will be £25'.
Shops are businesses, not charities!Gone ... or have I?0 -
Let me get this straight - you bought something, then they reduced it to presumably get rid of the excess stock, and now you want the difference?! I can't think of one retailer who would do that (apart from a select few online retailers)."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Gap do.
Although it isn't widely advertised. If you bought something full price and it was later reduced they will give you the difference (as long as you still have the receipt of course). My friend bought a full price coat, later went and got a refund of the difference when it was in the sale, and then later got a further refund when it was reduced even more!0 -
I think Dorothy Perks do it too if you used your DP card????????You may walk and you may run
You leave your footprints all around the sun
And every time the storm and the soul wars come
You just keep on walking0 -
This would never work all over the spectrum of shops, they simply wouldn`t reduce anything.
Or they would have items on sale at a higher rate for the 28 day limit before reducing it to the price they would want it sold for.
Say I had a washing machine,I want to sell it at retail price of £299.I`d mark it up at say £399 then after my 28 days I`d reduce it down to the £299 I`d orginally wanted to sell it at.
So really the customer will get no bargin what so ever.
I`d be happy with a sorry from Tesco personally.Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0 -
Do you go back to a shop a when the price of an item you bought goes up and pay the difference?0

You could have tried asking for a part refund like the op suggests if half penny pieces were brought back!0 -
  Its a horrible feeling knowing that something has gotten cheaper once you have brought it.
Barclaycard used to give you the difference back if it ever happened.
Anyway, I think its DISGUSTING:mad::eek:
