Why did not you call them and pay over the phone and or tell your problem with payment. Is it because your intention not to pay and try to find an excuse ?
Quote: "There is no option to pay by bank transfer either"
Rubbish I have been doing this many times. People in this thread and a few other threads regarding AQUA confirm this.
Some people should never have credit card in their life ...0 -
On the bank of my statement there are SIX ways to pay including at ANY bank.
If you've been cheated then I'm afraid you're a complete idiot.0 -
3 weeks and the OP didn't pick up the phone to aqua to sort the problem?! I despair.:(0

You can pay via online banking by faster payment;
Sort Code: 30 - 00 - 00
Account No: 00282448
Reference No: Your 16 digit card number
I would like to switch to this method to pay my Aqua card, I have been paying by cheque thus far.
What I was wondering was this, how to express my 16 digit card number. Should it be done as one long number with no spaces, or should it be as it is shown on the card, with the spaces, four groups of four numbers ?0 -

I've always used one long number and it's always worked.0 -

I pay via transfer no problems at all using one long number. Payment is instant in a flash0 -
Has the OP actually considered it might be the bank that is rejecting the payment. This was the case with mine when I tried paying via AQUA's website, Nationwide as a precaution did not auth it.
No 'fraud' just simple 'security' housekeeping.
Paid via bank transfer a couple of minutes later - no problems0 -
Santandar on-line payment system doesn't like house names, so you have to do a faster payment or move house.
I did both.
But the point is that on-line systems sometimes have bugs in them, if it's not working for you then call them up and explain the issue. at least then you have shown you are making the effort.0 -
When I try to pay balance by debit card I ALWAYS get this error:
"Debit/credit card payment unsuccessful
Unfortunately your debit/credit card payment has not been authorised."
I've been trying to pay for 3 weeks about a dozen times with different debit cards!! After searching forums it seems this is a common problem with Aqua. THEY DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO PAY BY DEBIT CARD! On purpose, of course!
To make things worse, when I signed up to Aqua, I was stupid enough to tick "Minimum payment only" to be paid by direct debit.
16 days ago I changed this to "Full outstanding balance" on their website. Although they state that changes to the amount take 7 working days, THEY STILL HAVE NOT CHANGED MY DD INSTRUCTION!
So they didn't allow me to pay full balance by debit card and ignored my DD instruction change. There is no option to pay by bank transfer either. In 3 days they will charge me outrageous interest! Very clever!
I will not even try to call them and waste any more time on them. I will complain directly to FOS.
I urge everyone - NEVER EVER DEAL WITH AQUA!!! Even if someone tells you it's all fine with them, it is obvious that they use semi-criminal tactics to cheat you!
If anyone from AQUA reading this, my aqua internet id is "fodlex". You can send me your bank details by email, so I could pay the balance.
won't somebody please think of the children??helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0
