You're allowed to block highway for animal loading for 20 minutes. You can park on double yellows for loading/unloading, I don't see the problem to be honest

So if the delivery included pork chops then we are all OK then?

why don't you give it a try.;)

see if Tesco will do a main road delivery, at rush hour.;)

so lets see if ive got this right.

just before midnight you went to gp's surgery with sick daughter and hubby.
having getting a sitter for other 3 children, just before midnight, so daughters illness must have been serious. Mmm

then just after went to chemist, again, just before midnight. Mmm

then some driver came and blocked in 4 cars all parked close by at just before midnight midnight near open shops. Mmm

then rush to hospital to arrive at midnight in a emergency, hubby parks in empty staff carpark, that receptionist is ok with, but hubby calmly moves it anyway. Mmmm

your "story" has more holes than a good swiss cheese.;)

Two different incidents, one when I was waiting for my husband and started to bleed. The second was when I actually went into labour but this was a different pregnancy.

how exactly did the receptionist express her amazement at the parking issue?.
She asked where the car was, apparently she had been asked to check with people as expectant dads were causing problems in ambulance bays. She said it was unusual as at night people seem to think parking rules don't apply.

So you took your living to the shops? interesting

No, I was asked what I would have done in the OPs case. Think you are getting confused.

In a nutshell they wouldn't. They are totally inured to such mundane things and have better things to be dealing with. I've got 30 years experience in working in the NHS and believe you me nobody really cares about patients parking out of hours or would comment on it...it's all been seen a myriad times before.

'Oh you are here in an emergency?...let me just hold up your treatment and express my amazement as to why your hubby/taxi driver wandering off'...?

So you were the receptionist at which hospital? No you don't know do you, you don't know they had been having problems and so were asking everyone coming in to move their cars and yes she was surprised ours was in the main car park.

mumps is having a laugh, self important types just make things up to suit the story and situation. then blame everyone else.

it was a double emergency, aparrently.;)

I think the self important types are the ones who think they can park anywhere.

Wow, didn't realise that you can block a road for 20 minutes, where does that appear in the Road Traffic Act, can you let me have the act and section, thanks
  • I have the same problem, every week they deliver to the creep next door. He moves his cars OFF his driveway into the street so that when Tescos come they block my driveway.

I take photos and evidence the issues I've having and I've made numerous complaints to Tesco via Twitter and on phone to their relevant branches but they don't give a stuff. I'm sure they would if I parked over they're depot entrance every week.

My main annoyance is that the creep next door is deliberately doing it to harass me (theres always a car at the address blocking me in) and Tescos are helping him do it knowing of the situation.
