so you don't know what other driver was doing, or weather it was vital or not!
so if that's not an errand, what is it?
some folk eh!!
The guy was in a queue in a shop that sells cigarettes, sweets, newspapers, lottery tickets, which item do you think was vital?
:rotfl:Someone suggested my husband was inconsiderate doing his errands. He wasn't doing his errands he was collecting antibiotics for a sick toddler. I think that is more "vital" than what the other guy was doing and regardless of who was doing something vital my husband parked perfectly legally and considerately. The other guy came along and blocked four cars in. Unless he was carrying someone seriously sick into A & E I don't think he has any right to do that. Even when I was in labour my husband dropped me at reception and immediately moved our car to the car park as he was in a a staff parking area at midnight with no other cars in the whole staff car park. Even the receptionist was amazed that he wouldn't leave his car there while I was booked in but some of us respect rules.
I take it you park where you want when you want?Sell £1500

So a driver pulls into a small carpark in front of some shops, blocks in four cars, ours the one next to us and two opposite. When my husband, politely asks in the shop for the car to be moved he is completely ignored, he has a sick child and his wife is bleeding and in danger of losing a much wanted baby, what do you think he should have done?
The guy should not have blocked other people in, when someone came into the shop and asked for the car to be moved he should have moved it but no he ignored a polite request. I don't think my husband had much option. Perhaps you would have put an inconsiderate driver ahead of pregnant woman and her unborn child. Your choice. The guy was in a queue in a shop that sells cigarettes, sweets, newspapers, lottery tickets, which item do you think was vital?

are you related to the op by any chance;)
you seem to have a good knowledge of where everyone was and what everyone was doing and buying, all the while, you where experiencing a traumatic event.
I liked the bit of the story where hubby moves the car to the astonishment of the receptionist.;)
your now hijacking this thread, start your own, with your own be-moanings, be as "considerate" as hubby or has nothing rubbed off. or was I right its all me me me.0 -

Not that I know of.

Well I know where my husband was and saw where the guy who parked was. Who else was there.

Apparently expectant dads normally abandon their cars outside reception.

I was answering comments, not hijacking. Was it me me me? What about people like you who think that it is OK to park anywhere and inconvenience other people? Isn't that me me me? We park considerately how is that me me me?
Think you are one of those drivers who thinks he is entitled to park anywhere. Just be careful who you block in it might be someone who needs to go somewhere else not someone who selfishly parks to block other people.Sell £1500

The OP thanked me for bringing up my relevant account. I don't actually need your permission to post.
I was answering points raised by Skitler, why not ask him why he asked questions/passed comment? Oh no, thats right the park where you like brigade can say what they like just like they can park where they like.
Re the OP His vehicle was stationary and the driver wasn't in it, I think that pretty much covers parked. Did you see the bit from the OP about the space a short distance awy?
OP I hope you are OK and pregnancy is going OK and Tesco speak to their drivers about being considerate to residents when on deliveries.Sell £1500

Well what would you class loading as then?Loading and unloading
When using a loading bay, loading or unloading must be visibile or you must be able to prove to us that you are loading or unloading. You can use loading bays for loading and unloading when there's no alternative such as a service road or back gate. Use of the vehicle must be necessary, and it must be moved immediately after loading has finished.
From TFL.
So what do you define loading as then if not making deliveries?
I'm sure the OP defines a short distance as that another person has to make.
So does the OP know the size of the space vs the size of the Tesco van? Big vehicles.
At no point did I query your right to post, you did choose not to reply to my previous post. No doubt had I mentioned you husband I would have got a reply.0 -

you don't know nor have I posted about my parking habits, or the habits of others, see its folk like you and the op that just jump to conclusions about everyone else that go about the business in a innocent manner, and then they get persecuted by the victor meldrew types.
so now your other desperately sick child is perhaps at home being looked after by others, waiting for his medicine, that was as you say urgently needed while you and hubby speed of to the hospital.
everything was a emergency but lets park properly and legally:rotfl:0 -
He wasn't parked. He was making a delivery next door.
What would have been your response if the driver was in your line of sight and you knew it was them?
This one? I missed it. I don't think I'd have said anything, my living room is at the back of the house so I probably wouldn't have noticed unless there really was an emergency and I don't think I would have been the one running across the road to ask him to move.Well what would you class loading as then?

You have to park to do the delivery or load or unload.
I have no idea how good the OP is at judging the size of a Tesco van but I accept what she says. Why wouldn't I?
Your quote was about a loading bay. I don't know if the OP has a loading bay across her drive but somehow I doubt it. There wasn't a loading bay where the driver who blocked me in parked but then he wasn't loading anyway.Sell £1500

She wasn't desperately sick, she wasn't at home. She had a chest infection and she was with us, we were on the way home from GPs and stopped to get the prescription. My husband dropped me and daughter at entrance to hospital where a porter put me in a wheelchair with daughter on my lap. Yes, my husband then parked the car so you did manage to get one thing right. Well done. :T Clever boy.Sell £1500
