How Do I Use Freeview?

I have a freeview TV but im not sure I have an aerial outside. How can i get freeview without getting an engineer to stick an aerial on top of the house?
i have this connection in my house wall though which looks like a lead needs to go into it (RF lead?) although no aerial on top of house. new builds and all that
Or what other options do i have?
Cant use sky as engineer dates are end of month

If you haven't got an aerial on the house, or one on the end of the terrace (communal aerial system) then you can't. Depending on where you live you might find that an indoor antenna might work but they aren't usually all that good unless you live in a good signal area. How do your neighbours receive their TV. Freeview needs an aerial, Sky or Freesat need a dish and a set top box and Virgin needs a cable connection and a set top boxNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

The developer may have fitted an aerial socket but not wired it further-pointless these days when so many people use cable or satellite.
As above, if a new build, check with a neighbour, as theirs should be the same.
If you want Freeview, the odds are that you'll need a roof top aerial fitting-not a job that Sky will do for you!No free lunch, and no free laptop

That's what it was when I bought a new build.
Lead from attic to socket in lounge but no aerial.0 -
I was going to say, you've checked the loft space and there isn't one there?1

Have you tried plugging the tv into the aerial socket? (Radical idea, I know)1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
In good signal areas, a loft aerial may be an alternative to a roof-mounted one. It's easier to install and doesn't get damaged by bad weather. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
