There is a Log Out link at the top of the forum. If you click that then you can log back in using your "wantmemoney" alter ego and update that thread.

Don't forget to sign back in as hpuse afterwards though.

Hpuse, your role on this forum is resident comedian.

Banks won't collate any information on these websites as there is NO CHARGBEACK RIGHT FOR MISLEADING WEBSITE TRANSACTIONS

If they're so misleading, why hasn't everyone who used them complained ?

Just been thinking about people being misled. How about all the PPI claims companies that have sprung up and taken money from people for carrying out a service that people can do for themselves ?

They don't tell people at all about how they can do this themselves do they ? In some cases we are talking huge sums of money, not the small amounts the Passport etc websites charge.

Maybe Hpuse would like to offer advice to them ?

In the end, what it boils down to is peoples ignorance and inability to understand what they're signing up for. You're never going to change that, at least the Passport etc sites tell you before you use the service.

Exactly. What about the Uniform tax rebate companies out there:

    Hello RosiPossum

    How are you doing today.?

Please read the first line of OP.

    It says

It is indeed very difficult to create 15 separate threads to address each of them individually for their copycatism and trading nature.

Please contact the creator of the other thread if you represent the company and the link you posted and request him/her to remove.

    Hope that helps.

    I'm fine, thank you. Yourself?
I just picked an example from the first non-government site to show up when I searched. I posted a link because it's good to direct people to one's source. These aren't the terms and conditions, they are on the homepage, easy to see without scrolling down. I don't represent any company. But I work in the NHS, if you feel the need to know where I do work.

    .

Don't be silly, hpuse only ever offers advise. :p

Could you submit some evidence to your claim. i.e you say they cannot win if they took them to small claims ?
I think it would be better and easier for you to tell me how they ARE going to win

    Yep.
The company would be able to show the homepage, the terms and conditions, the process...how is the consumer going to show that they were misled?
Please don't advise people to go to small claims, unless you're willing to pay for their costs?

In a dispute situation, if the trader does not submit the "proof" the bank are asking, then they will stand to lose money. Thats all my point. Hope you get that.

It is a trader's job (not mines!) to prove that they did provide the service based on what they said on the tin in a dispute situation. If they do not provide evidence - then they stand to lose the dispute.
    Is that clear.

If the trader does not submit 'facts' or prove their side of facts- then they stand to lose out.

Let's get this straight, you admit that the only way anyone following your advice is going to get any money back from their bank is by relying on the trader not replying to the request for evidence from their bank?

That's a very good question you are asking RosiPossum.

If fact, I'm pretty sure that falls under Hpuse's self imposed remit:

Please note my role here is to advise people on how to fight their case by presenting it to the bank, TS, ASA and other authorities.

I am sure that when Hpuse sees it he will answer that fully.
